I would just go Raptor now, but a 2.7 with a ZFG tune is plenty spicy. Will be quicker than a stock Raptor easily. Be aware you probably won't be able to tune the '25's right off the bat. It can take time for tunes to be available. You can tune a '24 right now.
Are there any differences between the 24 and 25 Raptor besides some package options and an new color?

Please understand that the Raptor is MUCH more than just a larger motor with more HP & TQ. The suspension is totally different animal than the “regular” Bronco which makes driving the Braptor significantly more exciting than my Heritage LE
Off-road or on pavement? I haven't driven a Braptor, but the Broncos I've driven on pavement handle like boats. At least compared to vehicles designed to excel on pavement.

Mind you I'm not complaining, the Bronco handles fine on pavement given the off-road design limitations, but I can't image a Braptor would do much better on pavement, especially if the center of gravity is even higher, the vehicle heavier and with even larger tire sidewalls.

On the other hand, I've seen some videos of Braptors at speed off-road, and they do seem taking it to another level compared to regular Broncos.

The other part of the story is that the last 3 vehicles have been F150 Raptor V6, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT and now a TRX. So, it sounds like even with a FP tune on a 2.7, I will be nowhere near what I am used to
I’ve owned both and will say go with the Braptor now given your history. If you are drawn to green get a 24’ in shelter green. You can feel the extra power, the suspension is top notch and honestly it feels more solid and stout. Given what you have stated about your vehicle history it’s a 100% no brainer.

My Bronco history just so you know where I’m coming from:
22’ Wildtrak 4dr
22’ Braptor - RPG collars and 39x13.5
23’ Wildtrak 2dr - Collars, FP Tune, 37’s
24’ Ranger Raptor - Collars, 35’s
24.5’ Wildtrak - Collars, 37’s
24’ Wildtrak 4dr - Collars,

Before my Bronco habit I was also in performance gas and electric cars. I will say after owning a Tesla Model S Plaid nothing is ever really ‘fast’ to me now lol.

My Raptor is not my DD and I don’t understand why anyone would buy one strictly for use on pavement however, the added power, selectable suspension, steering & exhaust all add up to a better on road experience as compared to the standard Bronco. Off road is where she really shines!

I don't have experience with the Procal tune on the 2.7 but by all accounts on the forum people are underwhelmed. The Raptor 3.0 will be a noticeable difference.

A retro build on the Heritage w/ the upgrades you describe sounds great but don't translate into increasing the value...being a Heritage it will probably have the opposite effect unless you find the right buyer. If you plan to trade, the dealer isn't going to give anything extra for all the mods. With that being said you'll be further ahead going straight to the Raptor IMO.
yup ur right on about resale..Used to be a Yota guy..Had a very nicely built taco gears ,armor, axles, etc etc took forever to sell when I decided too..especially if your looking at getting fair price, bank looks at it like the dealer, in my case yup its a 2015 off road trim tacoma..forget the 25k invested...your buyer needs to have the cash

If I were the OP then I'd just grab a used Braptor for 70K or so...No need to buy the Heritage, build it then sell it to buy a BRaptor. If the goal is Braptor, then just buy the Braptor.

Also, the Hennessey Velociraptor 400 puts down the same amount of power the BRaptor does at the wheels, so I'd expect to to be faster than Braptor. As @Ducati1098 mentioned, the 2.7 can be turned into a beast, but not the 25MY, since the ECU locked.

Goal was to do something retro. Been there/done that with the all blacked out look. Most likely going to get a white or velocity blue Raptor with painted top and fenders and try to do a retro twist on it. Here is a photoshop I was playing with, just need to get one done of the colors reversed

I have a TRX too. The Lunar Edition. Plan is to get the Bronco for all in one and a GT3 down the road for only the pavement

I’m aware, that’s why I made the comment about the Ravelco above...

.
My bad, hard to keep all the posts in order. Believe it or not, I never got the Ravelco. But I never drive it to Houston either :)

Are there any major differences between 2023 and 2024 besides painted fenders? Suspension the same?

Not only other broncos for obvious reasons, but more importantly, ANY competitor including the Jeep Wrangler 392. The edge isn’t in the engine as the 393 spanks the 3.0 on pavement, but rather the suspension, etc., that enables the Raptor to drive as fast in the open deserts of California and Baja as I do on the freeway.
