We currently have the 6100s on the front of our 2 door as well to level after adding a winch. The install was fairly easy, but a spring compressor is required. Retains stock ride quality. We sell them for $299/ea. But, for the same price most people are going with the 4WP/PC pre-assembled coilovers.

For reference, here's the part numbers for 2 door and 4 door versions:

6100s (shock only, no coil spring - re-uses sasquatch coils): $299/ea

Front:
2DR - 24-325561
4DR - 24-318594

Rear:
2DR - 24-325578
4DR - 24-318600

6112s (shock & coil springs): $799/set

Front:
2DR - 47-325586
4DR - 47-313996

Rear:
2DR - 47-325593
4DR - 47-314009

Howdy,

Did you guys do any testing if the CVs bind at full droop when applying the max ride height?

Thanks

OP, you will probably end up needing to go up one ring on the front eventually. I need to take mine out and move it. Ive been running the 6112s with the Bilstein springs almost 2yrs now and they have settled a lot.

What I've been told is that the 4WP's are minimum 2.5" on the 2dr. Is that right? I don't want more than 2", preferably 1.5". I would definitely consider them if that were possible.
We plan to install the 4WP/PC on our 2 door this month, so I'll have more precise info soon. The stated max. lift height of 3.5" is based on lift over a non sasquatch Bronco. They should pre-set to about 3" of lift, so they should yield about 1-1.5" out of the box on our Sasquatch which is about what our 6100s are currently set to (1.4"). We do include a spanner wrench for adjustment. We want to keep our Bronco as low as possible yet clear 37s.

Man that Rockauto Price is tempting... I was going to go the 4WP/ProComp route but $850 for those 6100's are hard to beat. Does anyone have input on how the two match up? 6100 vs 4WP/procomp coilovers?
Here are the main differences:

6100s: strut only, re-use all other components including spring and upper mount. 2.36 shock body dia. Lift height adjustment using cir-clip at pre-set increments which is easier to determine exact lift, but more difficult to make adjustments due to having to unassemble. 2DR and 4DR part numbers. Ride quality closer to stock due to re-using stock coils. Limited lifetime warranty.

4WP/PC: fully assembled coilover with shock and coil springs included. Note that rear coil springs are not a dual rate like others. 2.5" shock body dia. Adjustable lift height using a spanner wrench. Threaded shock body allows for greater lift adjustment. Same part # for 2DR/4DR applications. Off-road ride quality improvement due to increased travel over stock and slightly firmer coils. Questionable warranty support available.

We have checked since we also have our Walker Links installed which provide added travel. No binding at full droop, but we are not at the max ride height. I believe Bilsteins and Eibachs are on the conservate side as far as extended travel numbers go, with Kings and Icons being on the upper end.

We have been on several hard trails with no issues. This is "hard right turn" on Milt's Mile at UBB.

Depending on whatever wears or breaks first (the stock Sas 35'' tires or stock Sas shocks) I’m also quite interested in how the 6100s go. Want to keep the CoG low and clear as many parking garages/garage doors as possible.

Does anyone know apox what the labor cost difference would be between going with the 6100s in stock Sasquatch Springs versus 6112s? Also, how hard is it to adjust the 6112 since they’re already preassembled?

Do you know what it does ? For how we drive 90% on street?
I have looked and have not found a direct comparison of the 5100 vs. 6100/6112 for the Bronco (more than a few for the Tacoma, etc.). Check out the youtube channel of ShockSurplus, as the Bronco guy (Sean Bowman(sp)? going from memory here) had the 5100 on his Bronco. In summary too soft for him, nice until you notice the brake dive/body roll on street and bottom/top out off road at speed (though fine slow/rock crawling).

He has not done a direct review of 6100/6112 on his Bronco even though he has promised one, but he has dropped hints in various videos here and there.

After watching his work and others, I have realized I won't be replacing my stock Sas shocks with Fox/King/Eibach products (at least not current ones). My preferences and use case has the Bilstein 8112 at the top of the list, but at $1500 a corner 6100/6112 will probably be it...

Can’t speak to your cost question but I can tell you 6112 do not come preassembled (with coil spring installed). You can find them sold assembled by a reseller for healthy premium, at least $600. But Bilstein does not sell them that way ASAIK. Normally, one uses your existing tophat w/ new single use nuts for installation. I’m in the process of assembling the proper tools and fasteners to put a set of 6112 on my Badlands Sas.

I installed mine with a borrowed autozone spring compressor.
PS: RockAuto has the shocks for $198.79 Each plus shipping. I paid less than $850 for my 4 shocks shipped to my door!
This is good to know. I use Rock Auto a LOT. I have so many magnets from them. And also that the Autozone Spring compressor works. I have "borrowed" it many times too.

Ok, because somebody else said they were only able to go down to 2.5". May not have been a Sas, though. Your page on the suspension doesn't include really any details about these things (which you may not have, I suppose).

Got these installed this week—purchased from Shock Surplus. I didn’t want to do anything crazy, I’m on assignment in Chicago so I haven’t been living off-road sadly. My goal was a slight lift and reducing some of the nose dive and other less than ideal ride dynamics.

Short review; if you’re looking for something you’d describe as OEM+, this is the move. The ride is better than the stock sas suspension. Firmer, not harsh but it soaks up bumps, high speed turns have no body sway, and braking has no nose dive. Solid, solid package.

Circlip position pictured is #4 f/r which is a slight lift over stock; +1ā€ f/+.7ā€r.

There’s a little rake still until the rack and other summer camping stuff goes in the back.
