New BD, Sasquatch, with mid package and copilot360. NOT the copilot360+. which the dealer, that sold me the vehicle. forgot to mention has a lot of bells and whistles left out. In fact there isn't anything 360degrees about this car.... I find it odd that Ford can call it that.
All the rear camera's and rear parking alerts work as advertised.
However, with 1700 miles under my belt, I haven't had the smallest hint that the frontal collision system would warn me, or do anything at all.
I've even tried to pull up to another vehicle at highway speed, and nothing alerts me that the vehicle could potentially react.
I think I have all the settings set correctly.
In my old Range Rover, anytime I came up too closely to anything, the car would give me a little shake.
The only Bronco owners I know personally have the full 360+ system, and they tell me that the system warns them, almost annoyingly often.
Does someone have some experience with collision avoidance on these in-between copilot 360 vehicles? It sure seems like the car isnt going to
do anything but let me crash.

I have the Everglades so it’s a mid package. It has a screen alert if I approach something too fast for its liking. It has never taken any action to slow or stop me to avoid the collision and I don’t think it will.
There is also a feature that kinds of loosely bounces it between the lane lines but it will drift off the road still. It will also make some light shaking like sensation if the settings are on.
I find these safety features disturbingly useless.

Interesting, I have not even seen a screen alert. I have the lane line thing that has an effect, but if anything I find it more disturbing than helpful. I'm really wondering if the collision system is activated.

Jump into the settings on the screen and check if it’s active, it was pretty easy to find. I think mine was set to off when I got it.

Yup, 2022 Badlands/MID. The center of the instrument cluster lights up RED and starts beeping at you. But there's no "automated avoidance maneuvering" happening. It just shames you like you weren't paying attention.
Our 2024 WRX with Eyesight will brake and steer clear of an impending collision. Is this similar for Bronco copilot360+ ??

I have almost as dumb of a Bronco as you can get.

It goes off almost every time someone is turning right and I go to pass around them.

Just beeps/flashes, never had it hit the brakes.

The pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking is the exact same on every Bronco and standard throughout the model.

The warning and brake assist are completely dependent on the situation and won’t always happen even if you think it should. It’s not something you should rely on, it’s just something that may help if it determines it can.

You trying to pull up close to another vehicle isn’t going to do anything, unless it sees that vehicle going a substantially slower speed at a very short distance.

If the thing goes off one more time for nearly no reason, it may induce my monkey brain into a Mad Max mode and I'll end up in the looney bin.

Yeah, seems kind of wonky. I don't even have mid package. Went off twice in a year of ownership and I have it set to high sensitivity. If I recall both times the other vehicles were moving a bit. A recent post on here of an owner's 17 year old kid rear ending a stopped vehicle. Apparently no warning or brakes from that thread. Last thing I will count on is it actually applying brake assist.

I’ve had one instance which required a full antilock brake application and as that situation improved and I was able to ”un-antilock” the brake system, it remained locked…or it relocked… for an instant (probably less than 1 second). I later realized that this was probably not a malfunction, but was the collision avoidance system still working.

I do get the warning sound occasionally when someone is right turning into a drive in front of me. I like the warning, though it can be annoying. It definitely gets your attention.
