  4. Manual Transmission Noise Poll

March 2022 delivery. Heard noise after learning it was a thing. Progressively worse over past 35 months. Drives okay, but transmission noise is battling my tinnitus, and now winning. Houston dealership has a 3-4 week wait for techs to look/diagnose. But they will not look at it until I get on...
  5. Collision avoidance, will it, or won't it?

Yup, 2022 Badlands/MID. The center of the instrument cluster lights up RED and starts beeping at you. But there's no "automated avoidance maneuvering" happening. It just shames you like you weren't paying attention. Our 2024 WRX with Eyesight will brake and steer clear of an impending collision...
  6. New Product - - Inner Trail Sight Lights

They have a wiring harness that plugs in at and mimics the marker light. Amazon is delivering mine this week. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised. But willing to return if janky.
  7. New Product - - Inner Trail Sight Lights

UPDATE 8/10/2024: Kit arrived this week. I removed a trail site from the Bronco just to get a feel for what was possible. First impression: Easily installed, like most things Mabett. But, not really ready for primetime. MY OPINION: This product design needs more thought. Wires are exposed...
  8. What's up with the new aluminum above door Grab Handles? Anyone try them yet?

Not wanting the paracord version hanging down, I bought these understated anodized AL grab bars. She likes them. They feel solid. Some have issues with provided hardware (bolts could be longer) and I don't disagree. Very Happy with look and performance. ROADER grab bars
  9. FordPass Rewards Points Expiration Policy Change

I didn't even realize that our FordPass Points would expire. I was saving them for something fun.

    You'll be happy with either. Getting 20mpg highway with 2.3, non-sas, 33's
  11. What part/accessory are you looking for that a company has not made?

YES! I've been dreaming this for 18-months! Like you describe it. This idea is available but it's kinda overkill in by opinion. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/quake-led-releases-ford-bronco-trail-sight-delete-drl-kit-w-sequential-turn-signal-and-rgb-accenting-qte1199.58070/ I just want a...
  12. What part/accessory are you looking for that a company has not made?

Carpet kit to line the rear area. The plastic is soooo fragile and blemishes so easily. Already bought a vinyl pad kit with velcro to fasten ($40 for 2-door) but would pay $100 for formed carpet.
  13. Capable Bumper Accessories?

Not a lot of Capable Bumper accessories yet. Here are a few... Lights: Diode Dynamics M&R Heretic Winch: JCR Front Skid: LOBO Plate Bracket: BuiltRight
  14. GREAT INTEREST RATE IN HOUSTON

Houston. (Investex Credit Union, 1.80% for 60 months March 2022, with excellent credit) I have financed all of my vehicle purchases through a credit union for the last 20 years. Never a bad experience. FoMoCr had no interest in trying to match or beat the terms. Ford Finance guy simply told me...
  15. Exhaust System Leaking from Pin Hole

First time driving in the 40's and rainy. Lot's of condensate in the products-of-combustion.
  16. Start-stop with Manual Trans.

Initially I was concerned that the auto-S/S would be difficult confusing and worrisome at a light....would it start quick enough to not cause me problems on the street...? In pretty quick order (a month) I learned that I didn't have to worry at all. Just drive like I usually drive and the...
  17. Pedal Monster not removing turbo lag?

I'm on the fence about getting a Pedal Monster. Especially with the BL & manual trans. The Badlands doesn't have GOAT SPORT mode. I am wondering if SPORT mode adjusts the pedal response to be more responsive, similar to Pedal Monster type devices. It's all just ECU calibration INPUT : RESPONSE...
  18. IAG steps rusting after a month?

I'm having similar issues with full length steps. One of two is bleeding rust where the unwelded tube and plate meet. IAG has been super responsive and eager to make things right. Nice design and fab, just need to get the finish figured out.
  19. Couple dirt heads truck up a perfectly good Badlands!

It's a cool concept. Even the ragtop idea could end up looking good. With some work. Eventually.
  20. 2 DOOR - steps vs running boards

Vehicle: non-SAS 2-door Badlands. Challenge: My sweet wife at 5'0" is thankful she is flexible, but pleading for a ingress/egress solution. What I did: I ended up ordering TWO solutions from IAG - the v2 EZ-steps ($279) and the full-length EZ-steps ($749). I could try each, decide, and resell...
