Sounds good in theory but when ssluterbec….. had my plastic part making the “prototype” it was quite disconcerting to start what you think will be moving forward only to be in reverse at a stoplight with a car behind you and you go backwards a foot or two

That’s exactly what I was doing. I ordered one, so I’m not dogging the maker at all lol.

Tried pics, but they all messed up. Installed, 5 minute job if you've done it before. I lost my boomba top. It went flying when I pried it off. So now I'll spend the next 3 hours looking for that

I think what's making it tight is the clear rubber (probably plastic) ring/bushing that sits between the spring and the lockout. The inner diameter is ever so slightly smaller in the new metal lockout piece, it puts a little pressure on the rubber, tightening it against the shift shaft.
Easy fix, but im lazy and i left it.
