Also the Off-rodeo isn't a Ford event. It's a private company that is authorized by ford.

Contact The Off-Rodeo directly as they are NOT owned by Ford. They usually are very good about their Customer Service.

I signed up for the Off-Roadeo in TN for first week of November a while back.
Then we had the hurricane in Western NC which took out the interstate into TN as well as many other roads.
Due to road outages and doing relief work I had to cancel my attendance for the event. I had paid for an additional person and insurance when I booked it.
Even though this was an emergency situation and I gave the notice in plenty of time where Ford would lose no money, they still would not refund me.
This has given me a very sour taste for how Ford is handling these events. I thought about rebooking next year, but if Ford is going to be this greedy - screw them. I will do trails on my own.
At the very least they could credit me for rebooking at another time.
Thanks Ford for your thoughts about hurricane victims!
Off-Roadeo - No refund - you are dead to me!
i have found ford to be quite greedy in pretty much everything “bronco” related including the ordering process — i guess that would be the dealership, but we still complained to ford.

we had 4 total orders / reservations & they took 3 of them from us & marked them up at least 20k.

what’s funny is 2 came in before the one i fought for (they tried to take my truck) and they didn’t even tell us. the last one was not even in my name — it was supposed to be my husbands truck.

i’m so sorry you had this issue…they should have refunded you 100%! i also lost my offRodeo that i signed up for — mine was at the tail end of covid & due to health issues we had to be extra cautious — you know how that went!

I don't know, the policy is pretty clear on the website. You could have also postponed and it would have been cheaper overall (from a fee standpoint) and you would still be able to attend at a later date. For whatever reason, you chose to cancel. Not sure why.

You should have gotten your vehicle damage waiver payment back according to the policy when you canceled. Your post implies that you didn't, you have a case for that at least.

Sure the hurricane is something that was beyond your control, but it was also beyond the Bronco Off-roadeo's control as well. This was an act of god and their policy was pretty clear when you booked. Risks exist in life. Consider travel insurance in the future perhaps?

The policy is more than clear.

What is the policy? They can't break the rules because you have a "good" excuse.
well, in general I don't disagree--but let's see how this whole "we got caught up in the hurricane flooding in NC and Ford told me to go blow when I tried to work with them about this event" thing goes...

I think we can agree that the every day whiners don't get a break. I think we can also agree that extenuating circumstances like once in ten lifetimes flooding merit a closer look way beyond Karen saying "it's our policy".

...and directly tied into Ford's systems to verify eligibility, etc, etc.

This is a Ford program. Period. End of sentence. Nobody gives a shit who Ford outsourced it to. Nobody cares that these people have paychecks that don't actually have the Ford logo on them. When Ford contracts with someone to do something, it's a Ford thing.

Jesus Fscking Christ, people. You will fall over backwards to excuse Ford at any and every step.

By that logic, the independent car repair location that has the ability to reprogram the ecu from the ford images, is now part of ford, because they have access to the ford data?

Which ‘Interstate’ or major road was closed the first week of November leading from North Carolina into Tennessee?

Exactly which ‘road outage’ caused you to cancel?

Okay, your circumstance is worse than everyone else so they should make an excpetion just for you. Screw the guy who had a heart attack or death in the family. If they made excpetions for a strom they would have to make exceptions for everyone.

Becuase he had a good enough reason for them to break their policy.

Excuse Ford for what? What makes you think this has anything to do with Ford? It doesn't matter if its Ford, Carnival Cruise Lines, Spirit Airlines or whatever non refundable means exactly that.
