Heated Leather Wheel - Any Way to Add After Delivery?

Has anyone purchased this steering wheel?

Im not trying to add heat, Im just trying to find a replacement for my base steering wheel with a leather one. Wondering if this one would work and if its just plug and play.

If you aren’t worried about heat, a plain leather wheel would be M2DZ-3600-BB

Whats interesting is that the 3600-CB costs much less than the BB one and the CB one comes with the heating element. That's why I was going to purchase the CB version, just wanted to make sure it would work.

I have not...I would love to convert mine too, just hoping someone comes up with a proven parts list and programing procedure

It's possible but pricey, at least as of ~2 years ago.

$1700 is the number I came up with, beyond what I'm willing to pay. Granted prices may be better now but I imagine it's still above the $1000 mark. Regardless, I'll post my Excel spreadsheet I had created when I get home (assuming I still have it on my laptop).

I'm about to pull the trigger on the heated wheel parts list. (4WP coilovers and Hotheadz liner came first, unexpectedly).

But unlike @RagnarKon , I just have the clockspring, the heated wheel and the HVAC Lux switching unit on my list (plus a 2.3L engine cover kit):

Verified the need for the clockspring on a Badlands High with Ducati, and confirmed some parts/numbers with flip.

I'm gambling that the High package Badlands will have the same internal harness that the Lux does, which is one reason why I think my cost numbers are lower than Ragnar's.

The heated steering wheel appears to be part of the SCCM, so as long as you can connect the appropriate clockspring output to the SCCM, then all should be good to go.

C2406A & C2406B connect to C218E on the SCCM. The SCCM communication is through the CAN network to the HVAC panel.

Alright I failed. I don't know where that spreadsheet is.

Found the price quote for the steering wheel and SCCM though. Steering wheel is $300 cheaper and the SCCM is $80 cheaper than it was back then.

I don't think that it would matter as long as you have the automatic climate control module, the wiring appears to be the same regardless of the module installed (manual vs automatic climate control). I didn't trace every wire, but it seems like it is the same connectors with the same wiring harness.

In regards to the HVAC and SCCM communication, that's done over the CAN bus between the HVAC control module and the SCCM.
