help...Why would one buy a Black Diamond over a Big Bend if ordered basically the same?

Did not read 5 pages of replies but it wasn't on the 1st page so here we go

I'm addition to better gear ratio, BD gives you rear lockers and upfitter switches as part of the stock configuration. Another small and irrelevant detail is that the trailing control arms get a bit of skid plate.

So you should price it with the additional skid plates, rear lockers and upfitter switches. That is easily $3k if not more. If you still come up with more than $2k difference you will have to decide whether the gear ratio and TCA skids are worth it to you. If you can't add skids at the factory add install costs for a fair comparison.

I get not reading every page, but it's shocking the number of people who didn't read the OP.
Don't they both have identical gearing?

Both options have the Sasquatch package added so yeah same gearing. People just read the title and spewed information

No they don't. 4.46 for BD, 4.72 for BB.

Just played with the configuration. With exact same non SAs options the BD is $3k more expensive. That gets you full steel bash plates, rock rails, actual off-road tires, and a bit of armor on the body. The only way to save money is to do the plate install and tire swap yourself.

As has been noted, the SAS package on BD and BL is not a good value. Particularly on BL.

Yep, we, including me, ignored that the OP was talking Sas To Sas, because we, including me, like to talk about why we got our trim. But really, since 2024 if you're getting Sasquatch it really makes little difference....skid plates which are cheap, bumpers and switches if you need.

The Black Diamond has the washout floors. I don’t think the Big Bend offers that.

Everglades didn’t sell like they thought it would, so they’ve gotta find a way to rid of all those wheels! $1k discount will help the cause!
I could be wrong, but I think Ford limited the number of Everglades they would build each year to like 8% of all Broncos built.....and I also believe they shut down the order banks for Everglades each year because they sold them all.
