Hello All,
My apologies if this was already covered. I have 2022 Outer banks non SAS 2.7 with high package.
MY start stop has not been working for 2 days. I did not press the button to deactivate it. I am not using the Head or AC.
While I like that it is not working any more, I am concerned that this may affect something else in the Bronco.
Has this happened to anybody else??

Several things listed in the owners manual will prevent it from working normally. The most likely cause is a low battery

Thanks for the reply. I will check the battery voltage on the display when I get out of work.

The BMS system is tricky - you can have a perfectly normal voltage, but the BMS system just thinks the battery is tired.

Try putting it on a trickle charger over night.

The volt gauge may read high when running but the battery may be somewhat discharged anyway. also I think it may disable with high ambient temps which you guys in the east are having now, right? Put some miles on it to charge and see what happens. About the time I think mine has quit it starts again, rats.

Check the battery voltage at rest if you can. The digital display is a little backwards IMO when trying to tell if the battery is in good condition. If it shows 14+v when running, that likely means the alternator is having to constantly charge it, whereas if it only shows in the 13v range the battery is in better shape. That's been my experience anyway. If I leave it on trickle charge the display will show 13.5 or similar and when ever the app gives the mssg that it has shut down some features to save energy the display is always above 14v when I start it up.

You can always just change the right side of the gauge cluster and go to Trip/Fuel -> Auto Start Stop, and it will show you if it is on, or why it's disabled. Ambient Air temp, charging, or heating/cooling requirements is what I have seen on mine.

As Everyone else said check the battery voltage. Mine had the same issue. Trickle charge overnight and the auto star stop worked as intended.

If you're talking about auto-off, yes, it happened to me for awhile after selecting standard mode from sport. But it started doing it again. I'm with you, I hate the "feature" and think there should be a setting to turn it off permanently on all modes.

I just checked. The message stated auto start stop is on due to outside temperature.

Mine does this. It's because the battery is not fully charged. I keep mine in a storage unit for 2 weeks at a time, then drive it for a weekend or a few days. The start/stop does not work initially until the battery charges which takes a day or so. The start/stop also does not work when the temperature is hot outside- like 85 and up.

When I have seen this, the outside temp has been above 83F.
