@evilletruck

when you installed yours you had a body lift too? did you have to do anything to account for that or notice any deflection that would be of concern?

I have 1.5 inch body lift, a couple of the connections around the air box are under a bit of extra tension but not enough to cause any trouble, there may be fitment issues with a 3 inch body lift though

I must admit that the Injen kit does look nice and if treated as bling I like the mod but I'm not a believer in intakes on turbocharged engines as the gains are so small and it's more important to focus on cooling the air after it's compressed.
So what would you do ? Upgraded Intercooler?

downpipe and intercooler are the best actual performance gains along with a tune…cai and exhaust are mostly looks and noise…imho…I am not ready to spend $2-3k for marginal hp gains when I still need coilovers..

Watched some install videos of the Ingen and some others and it looks like you have to take some of it apart every time you have to clean the filter. That's a concern for me living in AZ with all the dusty roads here. Thinking K&N or Corsa might be the better option.

I have the Corsa CAI with the PowerCore filter. Honestly, I haven't felt any change from the stock setup. I also do not notice any additional sound from the engine bay. I do assume the PowerCore filter is better than the stock filter though. For comparison, I have an AFE CAI in my FJ and while I also don't notice any performance gains in the FJ, you definitely hear the CAI during WOT...that has not been the case for the Corsa in my Bronco. I do have an AWE exhaust which is pretty loud...so, it is possible I'm just not hearing the CAI on WOT in the Bronco due to the exhaust.
Funny, I had an AFE CAI on my Dodge Challenger and you definitely heard the roar from it - and I noticed the same thing, you really don't hear anything from the Corsa CAI on the Bronco.

I have K&N CAI. The open top allows for nice noises to come from the turbo, but if you plan to push your vehicle's engine output, I would avoid K&N because you'll easily see IATs 130+. On a hot day when I was doing some datalogging, I had IATs in the 150s. I contribute this to that open top and fiberglass body kit

To provide some context, I have CPR stage 3 turbos, Mishi cold and hot air pipes, larger port fuel injectors, whipple intercooler, Fiberglass fenders and hood (I feel liek this is trapping heat more than aluminum), CVF downpipes, 1 step colder spark plugs, Injen cat back exhaust with a corsa resonator 14 in I believer. ZFG tune for 93 and e85

I removed the K&N top and used heat resistant material to close it off and I'm seeing an improvement of IAT but wish I would of went with mishi or another closed airbox instead. The high IAT that led to higher manifold intake temperatures limited how much boost is doable in the tune.

I also feel like the whipple intercooler once heatsoaked takes a long time to get back to a good temperature.

Hope this is helpful

The struggle is real. My IATs in the middle of summer have been in the 130-140 range and it’s definitely affecting performance. Wish we could get an explorer ST sized FMIC in the Bronco because I think even the aftermarket ones are too small.

Also, how’s your E85 tune with the CRP stage 3 turbos? Are you dealing with misfire issues? I’ve heard the 93 tune is solid, but nearly equivalent to the E85 Stock turbo tune.

So far my psi is only at 24 with e85 bc of heat issues so not seeing misfires but hoping to get more psi. I also am not good at reading the logs tbh. Learning as we go ha.

I removed my rough country winch set up that blocked the top and sides area to the intercooler and playing with the idea of adding heat extractor vents to the adv hood ha. I know Ducati is at a higher psi than me but his temps are much better across the board.

I wonder if we could daisy chain intercoolers or get creative with placement. I haven’t looked into this much though. Just a thought in my head at the moment.

Sounds like a lot of work. There is one other option, and that's METH. It will drop your charge temps tremendously, which could be what you need to push the boost. Adam recommends using more meth than water. I actually purchased a SNOW Stage 2.5 kit, but I'm not 100% sure I'm going to install it since I don't plan to upgrade the turbos anytime soon. Maybe I'll sell you mine for a good price :)

Also, the owner of the fastest 2.7L F150 turned me onto this kit. Adam adjusted his E85 tune to take advantage of it.

Whoa. If I don't have any meth at a certain period, I can just keep it installed and set it to 0 on the gauge? I've never used one of these before. How hard is it to stay stocked up on meth? ha
