did some looking at my emailed receipt and it looks like i ended up using the 8.5 links. but yes that looks like every thing i used from the universal kit.
@RP80
measured links... 10.5 center to center. like i said before they are probably longer than i need but i do not have any issues with the length getting into the wheel well.
Correct. I had metal cut 4 u, an online light metal fab business, cut the plates with matching holes. Tacked them in place to use a drill guides. as for the length of links, cant remember. ill measure them when i get back to my bronco after work. Longer than needed im sure.
Used a hole saw the diameter of the pipe of universal kit, drilled hole through frame where bronco specific kit bracket would bolt to. used 1/4 plate welded 360 to each side of frame of both rails and welded pipe to the 1/4 plate.
Any other thoughts on your set up? has anyone else gotten their kits yet?
Seems like a good set up and appreciate the vid actually showing it pulling 10k. According to thier load meter
Sb. you can maintenace the filter without takeing the whole thing appart. its been a while and i dont recall where i saw it, but the dry filter having better filtration specs than the oiled
i do not believe i am loosing prime or that the filter is draining. when i swapped over to -12, i dead cranked until i had oil pressure on forscan gauge. and continued to prime until stable. then started engine. same results. my biggest concern was that the filter bypass was opening and...
Aeo26. Holds a quart of oil. Mainly for micron rating and size to prevent starvation due to micron rating and cold starts.
@vicorjh
Thanks for the log and temp reference. Very helpfull. My observation as well that sensor is absolute. The spikes are what im seeing in forscan gauge.
So at this...
Thank you, i understand that. I see it everyday at work during the cold parts of the year at work.
Point is i didnt notice the noise until i put a remote filter on. Then connected forscan and monitored oil pressure to see the spiking/bouncing like a pressure relief or filter bypass. it looks...
has anyone monitored their oil pressure on cold start when its sub 45f out? ive been using forscan lite to check. on cold start it bounces the gauge pretty hard between 50-100+psi until it gets warmed to about 50f. oil temp not vehicle temp. once oil is above that 50f ish temp it settles...

for anyone wanting to go back to stock, barns4wd has the upper control arm axle brackets. good news is you can custom fit them and keep the truss from the 4 link kit.
i bought the rockjock universal 50" kit with 1" bar 20" arms. also picked up the 3/8" weld on link tabs for the axle and either the 8" or 10" threaded links, cant remember. used a hole saw to drill through frame to fit the tube. welded 1/4 plate gussets on both sides of the frame and on the...
