A short while back I installed some Fox DSC 2.5's. After a long road trip through UT & CO last month it was apparent I was under-sprung, particularly in the rear.

I called a popular suspension co. that offers a tuned version of these shocks and asked them about a heavier coils. They started asking about the weight I added, to which I replied bumper, 37's, sub, table, skids, etc. I offered to weigh it all up and he declined, seeming confident that he had the right rear spring for me. I was sold:
ERS-1400.375.0250S
Eibach Spring, 14" Long, 3.75" ID, 250 Lb/In
....Same one that comes on their standard upgrade package for their rear.

What I ended up with after a full day of sweat & beers is -.5" rear sag bias (unloaded) and -2" sag bias loaded. Time would tell if this is livable setup. However, I can exchange the $300 springs right now if they remain unused.

What do you all think? Should I grind another day out swapping to heavier springs or just deal with a saggy rear?

I have the same thing going on. I adjusted the preload and got it level but the ride in the rear is a lot more stiff and in 4A it squats horribly bad. Fox has a spring kit coming out in 6-8 weeks. They’ve realized they screwed up. Not sure if they’re gonna help out with cost or not. I want to get my rear swapped out before winter. Below is before and after preload adjustment. Since you already have them I would just swap them out and be done.

Nobody want's a saggy ass.
I think you need to name this unnamed company.
My money is on accutune. They’re the only ones who’ve identified this problem and have a solution for it.

Do you mind posting where you heard about the springs? Was thinking about going with this Fox kit in the future so I might hold off if that's the case.

I’ve been emailing back and forth with fox about this, the rep I’ve been talking to said a rear kit is in the works 6-8 weeks and that has a 20% more spring rate than the current spring.

Awesome, thank you. The complaints about the springs have been the main thing holding me back from getting these already

Yeah it’s frustrating forsure. The front is fine it’s just the rear that’s too soft. Fox forsure screwed up. Worst case I’ll just pony up for the $300 Eibachs and be done with it.

This is why I love this forum! Appears we have a very similar setup. Had I know about the Fox factory springs I would have waited.

After sweating all day I made my peace on this project by taking the hard top off. Now I’m sitting .25” tail high and ready to charge!

Very eye opening. For years I have trusted Fox. Looks like they slept on this one.
When you pay a premium the expectation is a tested priduct. Having to swap springs once is a major PIA. Two swaps?, pffft!

Hope that’s true about the fox rear spring kit. I’m fine with mine but it would be nicer if the rear was a little stiffer without needing to turn the low speed adjuster all the way up. Turn them all the way bronco has oversteer and sport car like handling but you feel everything on the road. Mine sits level, it all depends on how you park it I guess because sometimes it’s a little lower in the rear.

I bought accutunes recommended rear spring kit upgrade but never installed them. I kinda like the way she rides afraid I’ll goof it up by changing spring rates. Wonder if a fox rep will be at the stampede this weekend. If so I’ll ask for sure but I bet they won’t know.
