Here’s the thread - it’s for a rear end so part numbers may be different, but overall process should be the same. I have a link to slicer parts list - I’ll post that when I get to my other computer where I have it bookmarked.

Happen to still have that rear carrier laying around? Would possibly be interested in it.

I do but away from home for about a week. If you can PM me about it next weekend or so I can get pics of that and the rebuild kit

update for anyone interested. Went to show a friend how the locker wouldn't function by touching the 2 leads directly to battery power with a 20A fuse (Like I tried several other times) and randomly it worked! So I wired it to my switch panel with a 15a fuse and function tested it several times. An hour later I pulled it off the rack and put it in the parking lot, hit the button just for giggles...popped the fuse again. Swapped it with a 30a and popped it instantly as well. Excitement was short lived lol

Seems like there have been several FPP lockers that have been bad. Is that common among elockers or is there a problem with the axles Ford is getting?

I install several Eaton E-locker a month in my shop and have never had one come back with a problem like this.

Is there an easy way to bench test the axles before I install them to make sure my lockers work?

Wire it to a battery, should hear it click. If you have the cover off you might see something move a bit but there isn’t much to see

Got it to work intermittently in the shop again and thought maybe it would function under load. Took it on one of the hardest trails in Ca and the new front differential did great. But every time I needed the locker it popped a fuse lol. Still made it all the way to the lake without it luckily.

Well, months later after being denied warranty from Ford, my supplier was finally able to get a new magnet from Dana/Spicer. Old one ohms 0-0.1 new one ohms 3.7-3.9.

Why did Ford deny warranty? Because a dealer didn’t install?

Genuinely curious as I’m looking to stick to the Ford Performance brand for warranty reasons for most mods.
