High end and harbor freight don’t belong in the same sentence.

I get that HF is an easy target, but honestly most of their stuff performs just as good (if not better) than most of the bigger brands, all while being a fraction of the cost. Most are made on the same assembly lines/factories as higher end parts too.

Check out Project Farm on YouTube, he has a lot of comparison videos to check out

I get it. I have one of their aluminum floor jacks which is fantastic. Some items are pretty good.

in this case you can’t compare quality of a chinese knockoff LP4 to a Baja LP4.

Queue the LED light grifters to make some posts to inform you how silly you are to not be paying $500+ for a pair of lights you'll hardly ever use.......

But but but the off brands fake their lumen testing. How else will I know how effectively I am blinding the other people on the road if I do not know my peak lumen rating....

Do they have cross-linking capabilities and a way to put them above your windshield cross-linked?

I do not understand how a set of pod lights can be $500-600+ dollars. It is absolutely insane.

They are all using Chinese made off the shelf LEDs.

True, look at CREE. All of the R&D is done in NC, mfg in China. That said, 15 years ago I worked for a company that did R&D for stainless steel manifolds in FL. Buying by the container load, mfg in China, the average manifold was $2.56 ea. Of course that did not include shipping but that was around $2K for the container at the time. The average cost for the same, cast in the USA, was $34.00 plus shipping. In my industry almost all castings are done in either India or China and its not labor cost, that is really a small part since everything is automated, its the government regulations that adds the most cost. Have you looked into HD Galvanizing or chrome plating lately? We used to have carbon steel structural items galvanized or plated for corrosion resistance. Now, stainless steel is a fraction of the cost of plated steel even though its $5,400 ton vs $800 ton for carbon steel.

YOUR THOUGHTS ON THESE SMALL ( YET POWERFUL ) VEGA PODS ?

ORACLE LIGHTING LAUNCHES VEGA SERIES OFF-ROAD LED POD SPOTLIGHTS
We're excited to announce our new off-road Vega LED Light Pod Spotlights. Available in 20-watt (Vega Series 2) and 40-watt (Vega Series 4) versions, the compact and rugged pod spotlights deliver an unparalleled lighting experience. ORACLE Vega Series spotlights will be available in December.

Named for the brightest star in the northern constellation of Lyra, the new ORACLE Vega Series lights set a new benchmark for pod spotlight performance. The Series 2 features 2,000 raw lumens with a projection distance of 988 feet, while the Series 4 boasts 4,000 raw lumens and a projection distance of 1,049 feet. Intended for off-road use, Vega Series lights feature durable materials and construction, and carry an IP69K ingress protection rating to handle long-term use in tough conditions.

Vega Series lights feature horizontally symmetrical beam patterns so they can be mounted upside down or right side up without changing the beam angle. The result is a more versatile and compact product with standout styling and a dynamic appearance. For even more versatility, optional interchangeable lens covers can also be added without tools to easily change the color of the light output to yellow or amber. The covers simply snap over the existing clear lenses to provide color-enhanced light output optimized for fog or snow conditions where glare can be an issue.

“This is an exciting new category for ORACLE, and we wanted to be sure our first offering lives up to our reputation for quality, performance and durability,” said Justin Hartenstein, ORACLE Lighting's director of development. “The Vega Series was designed in-house from scratch to do just that. By using only the best components and materials, we’ve created a pod spotlight that is rugged and reliable with higher-level intensity than any other three-inch light on the market at this price level.”

Since it was something I'd use very infrequently as they're not all approved for Road use, I went the most economical route. These cost me less than $20.

Rather have Harbor Freight than high end lights. I use them 3-4 times a year. Always had good luck with Harbor Freight hammers, they always perform miracles. Probably going to pick Harbor Freight's Baja Design knock offs, they look like they fit my budget.

@ORACLE Jeff stop spamming your off brand lights in other products posts.
