Installed the OEM Slideout Tailgate

I was wondering if the Slideout tailgate works with the pull out cargo drawer also ?

Just watched an install video of the cargo drawer and I don't think it would work based on how they both mount.

is the top easily removable if you needed more height when hauling something and tbus u could just put it on the slide out portion

Yup. It’s the best accessory ever. Got it from the factory and before it went up in price too. Way better than the fold down tray for the tailgate (and I believe they may not work together, it’s one or the other).

Agreed. Installed mine this weekend. I love it.
its solid. It doesn’t rattle, and is gonna make loading the canoe 10x easier.

You could, but it's raw cargo floor under there, if you are planning to drive with the laptop stored there I'd likely get some sort of liner, rubber mat, carpet, towel etc to lay the laptop on.

Sure to contain dirt, liquid and such… you’ll lose access to the tie downs which I guess is always the case, but the deck has solid grip so nothing gained there…

In case ur wondering, the Slideout Tailgate deck Can handle weight… 40 bags total in the rear…

Though pricey, I have this and like it for the reasons stated above, particularly for the options it opens up for amp mounting like Johnny Mo shows in his pics and for fitting a compressor in a DV8 storage basket underneath. Also it does not interfere with swing gate mounted stinger sub/box - box just enough height to clear the raised floor when closed.

I'm curious if anyone has this slideout and a compatible security enclosure? From my minimal google kung fu, it appears most (all?) security enclosures assume factory floor mounts and therefore factory enclosure heights. Maybe I'm missing something.
