Same. Still manage to set it off once in a while but it's not bad.

Just did this to mine today, thank you OP for posting this! I've had key fobs for almost 30 years now and I've never set one off as much as I do in the Bronco.

Took the key apart and filed the red part down so I'll never have another panic attack!!

Yeah - Forscan fixed that...not sure I'd wreck a fob for that.

Using ForScan, you can also set the Alarm to 2 button presses instead of one.

Forscan can be used for free and the OBD connector isn't that expensive.

Tiny screwdriver in the 2 small slots.

Use a coin or flat head screwdriver to pop the fob apart. You could use the physical key itself too I’m sure.

If you use Forscan you can get rid of the honk when you close the door while running as well.
