Ford points and ordering accessories

So, I decided to use some of my hard earned ford points and order a couple of accessories (the rear rubber mat and the molle system for the rear tail gate). I ordered a couple of months ago and forgot. Today I was, where is my stuff? So after Ford chat and a call to the dealership, because they can not ship to the house, no status update. They can see the stuff was ordered and that's it. I ask when it might come in and the parts guy said they do not know could be weeks or months depending on availability but said they don't know what availability was and can't find out.

Anyone else have success using ford points to order accessories? I guess if it took 1000 days to get my bronco a few months to get a rubber mat is easy wait.

I also ordered the mat back on 8/25 to be sent to my local dealer. Having similar issues. My dealer said if I ordered in store, I could’ve had the mat from them within a week. So I asked ford parts for a refund, they haven’t obliged. Each person I speak to gives me a different story, it’s been super painful.

I think the fact that they cant see what the avilbility is and cant find out tells you what kind of dealer you are dealing with. If they wanted to see what inventories of the parts were, they could, they are just choosing not to.

I've ordered a lot of stuff from Ford and Ford Performance using my points and have had zero issues. I even get emails stating my order is ready for pickup!

What did you order? And where did you have it sent? And how long did it take? I wonder if it's my Ford dealer or if its who ever sales the parts.

Hood protectors for my Bronco and Super Duty, from Ford Parts, and Ford Performance black lug nuts and diff cover from Ford Performance website. All shipped to my local Ford dealer.

Hood protectors were a while back but less than a week for both. Dec 1st ordered lug nuts. Dec 2nd ordered diff cover. Lug nuts were here yesterday, diff here today. Picked them up after work today.

I had an OEM hitch wire harness installed at a ford dealership using my points. I was quoted the same amount of points that was listed on the Ford parts and accessories website. But I did clear this my service advisor at the dealersip...

I ordered the floor liners with my points, at the dealership and had then a few days later. I noticed they were spiked, and having had previous experience with spiked floor liners in my JKU putting dents all over the floor after I removed the carpet, I looked it up and sure enough there was a different part number if you had the rubberized interior. Called the dealer, the parts guy said he also didn't realize their were 2 different ones and appreciated me informing him, and by chance he had the other part number in stock so I swapped out a few days later. This was over a year ago so they hadn't dealt with that many Broncos yet

But my dealer is super cool, they even had one of the service guys who live out my way bring me my tube doors

Anyway, I would suggest always ordering Ford parts through your local dealer so that you have a contact if needed.

While it would be helpful, the local dealer does not offer 25% off on accessories which can be a significant savings. Ordering shouldn't be as hard as Ford is making it.

Ordered a few things in the spring, arrived at the dealer is a few days. Ordered an item over the holiday, still waiting. No info even though Ford states they will email you if there is a wait for an out of stock item.

I've had great luck using my points I got for ordering my Bronco. I had ordered the Ford sill plates and got within a week and I just ordered the Ford Bronco mud flaps and they came within a week. Both were sent to my home. I just ordered online and it seemed to be pretty efficient.

I don't know if this helps anyone, but I just picked up the HD diff cover from my dealer parts desk and they couldn't find them at first. When I showed them the email, they were like, ahh, accessories not performance. Apparently they don't go to the same place in the parts warehouse and they need to know that. I was like, I bought a part from accessories.ford.com???
