Ford Accessories site… I was warned from previous posts on the topic, mostly about the dealerships inability to track items. So I decided to have the parts shipped to me directly. Ordered the Aeroskin II, Putco sill covers, and the Gatorback Splash guards. Pretty pricey package IMO, but I’m bujee.

Rear flaps come in along with everything else, except the front flaps back on the 25th. 7 days later and the front flaps show up today. I’m stoked… until I pick the box off of my porch and hear the clanging of dozens of issue metal parts. Open the box to find no installation guide, open hardware baggies, hardware tossed around everywhere, zero package padding, and jacked up plates. This was obviously an open box return that someone couldn’t figure out, and Ford’s distributor decided they would try to pawn them off on me. Nah, son.

Just got off the phone with a Ford rep who offered me a refund. I’m like, no, I want some Gatorbacks in pristine condition. I should be receiving a pair of brand new never used splash guards for $500.00. I asked if they could find another pair in stock and overnight them to me. So she is going to escalate to a Ford product specialist or something.

BS.

Unfortunate on getting a return/resale item. But it sounds like the Ford rep is working on fixing the issue. Maybe wait till that goes sour or they don't actually fix it before blowing it up on here?

Sorry about the issues you had with this. I will add that I’ve ordered many parts from the accessories store and I’ve never had a problem tracking them to the dealer (it is trackable on the site and they email you when the items ship and arrive at the dealer.

The only problem I’ve run into is the dealer seems to hate that you can pay a nice low price for installation through accessories. Even though they grumble a bit they’ve always done the install for me without charging me more.

The tracking is only visible to you as the buyer and obviously only if a tracking number is assigned. There are many instances where products are shipped and never any email notice sent or tracking number assigned.

In my specific example, the order consisted of multiple items to be shipped to the dealer. Part of the order was shipped and assigned a tracking number. The other part sat in purgatory still awaiting shipment. Went to the dealer to pickup the shipped item and for them to look into the status of the other. They have no visibility on orders placed online. He went to retrieve the one item and came back with both. They had no record that the second item was shipped/received. I attempted to call customer service for them to update their internal record of the pending item to be shipped that it was received. They said that they can't. Still to this day, that item is pending shipment.

Big hassle when I picked up an ordered tailgate table from a dealer. Box looked less than perfect but I wasn’t going thru that mess again so took it and then noticed at the most critical corner of table it was bent. Made it work but ended up a little wonky.

Other than the 6 week delay in delivery (Ford ain’t no Amazon). My experience with parts being shipped to Middleton Ford was flawless. Thanks to @Middleton Motorsports.

I’m sorry.. But you have suffered the Ford Store ā€œCustomer Serviceā€.. Yes, they elevate it to the ā€œtopā€ and nothing done.. After three weeks of waiting on two additional Ford Performance differential covers ( I paid for three) .. So, last conversation.. They can’t ship the additional two covers, but they are going to give me a refund.. I WANT THE COVERs!!! Still not indication of how or when refund is being issued.. I hate to say it.. Just stop ordering from the Ford Store.. Stick to Ford products being sold from vendors ( usually cheaper anyway).. Am I pissed at Ford right now.. YES.. But I love my Broncos.. I try and take care of three of them.. Cheers! šŸ»

Yeah, after reading posts not only here but as well as Bronco Nation, it seems that the policy for the customer care reps is to offer a refund. If you ask for escalation you’re told you will get a call from a product specialist, and that call never comes. I’ve made the decision to just install the splash guards as is. I never did hear back from Ford Accessories.
