Posted this in a separate thread but I think it's buried in there and not totally related to the OP's topic....so starting this one because I would like some help please:

See screenshot… software version doesn’t jive with anything I’ve seen recently about version 4.2.2 vs. 4.3 etc.

Also:
1. Auto updates was ON. I turned it off (due to general opinions that new version is bad)
2. It told me that “software is up to date”
3. So far no glitching.

So…. Which version do I have? I didn’t see any other logical menu that would show it.

I was going to ask the same question. I cannot find anywhere in my Sync system that mentions 4.*.*

Ok so, for context, what’s “915” in relation to the numbers in my screenshot? None of the numbers in my picture make any sense to me in relation to any version.

Under "Software Updates"
Select "Update Details"

Screenshot from our '23 BD - running 4.2.2.1

Thanks - but I already tried that. When I go to that menu, it just says "software is up to date". So at this point I would guess that I have the latest one as it says.....it's just annoying that I can't see the number anywhere. On an iPhone, if your iOS is up to date, it says that, but it also shows you the version number. Hopeful that things stay stable! Thanks!

But that doesn't answer the question. How does a person find out which 4.x version they are running without having to rely on a new update's details.

I know some people are referring to some online Ford website but I've never been able to find it either.

There needs to be a correlation between the about screen and the versions of 4.X everyone keeps talking about.

If you go to the Ford App, Vehicle tab (bottom of screen), Features & Settings, Software Updates button, then under recent changes, open the entries and look for "What's in this update?", does it tell you what it updated to?

It is odd they give the build number but not version number. My guess is the build number is stored within the build that's actually on our Bronco, whereas the version number may be only on the repo the code is stored within elsewhere (in git they are tags for a point in time). Still, if that's the reference, it should provided.

See screenshot. I don’t have a “recent changes” selection.

Not sure... It's kind of weird. I click on recent changes and this comes up.... Can't tell if this is telling me what the current outstanding update is supposed to be, or just the same info that was displayed originally for my already completed "recent update"

Yeah same... it's just the sloppyness of programmers now. With the ability to constantly send out updates, seems like nobody QAs anymore because any bugs that come, can just be fixed later with another update.
