How about the factory raptor set up? Id like to mount a bike rack to my spare tire but it will be about another 100 lbs with the bikes and rack ???

I have 15,000 miles on a much less glamorous product. When I switched my tires to 37s a year ago, I bought the RC reinforcement. One year later, it looks like the day I bought it, and my tailgate has no squeaks or rattles. All with the 37” KM3 hanging off of it.

UPDATE: now 24,000 miles with no change in the reinforcement

The Jerry Can mount is looking like it's going to be about 45-60 days. Final prototype is being approved and then we move to production! We've been tied up with our hard top R&D and that slowed things down a bit but it's definitely still moving forward.

I went with the Expedition One Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier on my 2-Door with 37s. No weight at all on the tailgate and both swing out as one.

If I were to keep the Tire and Wheel on the Tailgate I would go with Turn Offroad.

It would be very difficult to put the IAG as a top performer due to the quizzical choice of using cast aluminum. No doubt it will work when new, but cast aluminum is far too ductile, and is an extreme risk of stripped threads just by the materials used. You won't be chasing threads in cast aluminum.

As far as I can tell there are absolutely no threads in the IAG cast aluminum body (unlike the just-released Mabett approximation of the Raptor brace). Just through-holes to the OEM mounting points.

I have the Hammerbuilt and the rotopax option. Lining up the last hingebolt to install it was a complete b!tch and an ordeal, but eventually figured something out. My only gripe is that my 3gal rotopax rattles against the accessory. Ideally I'd like to see some rubber offset mounts on the Hammerbuilt accessory (or I might just hot glue a few on) to address that.
