Disable "Keep Your Hands on the Steering Wheel" warning alert?

I’ve been tempted to zip tie the steering wheel right near where the outer ring meets the inner connecting arms. Ive found if i keep my hand there while one arm driving I no longer get the notification. Im curious if tripping the pressure sensor is enough to trick the system. Haven’t found a way through forscan yet

It’s my understanding that there is no pressure sensor. It’s looking for steering input.

Correct. No pressure sensor, it is looking for steering input. It doesn’t need much, just a few degrees, but it is super annoying.

My alignment guy and my setup are arrow straight.

Lift it so the camera is out of range of it's calibration. Sure, it adds lots of other issues, but I didn't have a hands on the wheel alert for months.

Just grabbing the steering wheel doesn’t make it go away sure, but it keeps it from popping up in the first place.

My wife's edge never goes off, unless you drive like a 1/4 mile with no hands at all.

I turned lane keep assist off and it stopped alerting me of hands on the wheel.,

Many of us like assist. It's useful. Turning it off to turn off the hands on alerts? Dumb.

There is no sensor of any type to trick with a zip tie lmao.

I finally just turned lane assist off because of this horribly calibrated warning message. The ancient ping pong version of lane keep we got is useless to me anyway.
