So I am thinking of going with Audiofrog GS42 for the top bash and back pod positions and the GS60 for the side footwell spot. On cruthfield for some reason it does not list the GS60 as a fit for the bronco? Has anyone used this in an install yet? Will most likely be mating these with a kicker key amp and then try and figure out some sort of subwoofer solution. This will be for a 2 DR big bend so base system. Thanks.

Following as I'm thinking about doing Audiofrog as well... I wonder though if it's better to just spend the cash on GB 15 / GB 60 for a 2 way up front? For the sub I wonder how a GB 12 would sound...

I have thought about GB series as well, though its a massive price jump. If I went that route would probably look at the new audiofrog amps or maybe JL. But that would mean going all in :D

So I purchased amps. I am going to follow many in here and go with a Kicker KEY 200.4 and KEY 500.1 for sub. I ordered the amps from bestbuy as they were actually in stock and will get plug and play kit from plugnplaykits.com Also ordered the bracket from mountain metal to mount it in the car.

Next I am finalizing speaker choice. I may go with Stevens Audio SA6-CS in the front instead of the AF GS series. Seem to get great reviews. But still thinking it over.

WHere are people mounting the sub amp, I assume somewhere near the sub?

Ordered the GS42 for the dash and the GS60 for the kick panel. Waiting on the rears, if someone comes out with an affordable 6.5 rear pod would rather go that route. I might be able to get a couple GS12D2s for subs used so looking into that. I would build some kind of enclosure. Picking up bronco in the next few days.

How’d this come out? I have Focal RSE-165s in the kick/dash and am tempted to upgrade to the GS10/GS60 combo.

system came out great. I have the gs42 in the dash and the gs60 down below. Also have dual 12“ GS sub drivers which sound amazing. Eventually I will at gs62 in the rear pods once I replace the pods. All is driven by kicker key amps. Leagues better than stock setup. I am very happy with it.

Have GB-10 tweeters, GB-40 dash speakers, GB-60 in the kick panels, and GB-60 in rear pods - the GS are great speakers for the money, but my love of music pushed me to go GB as there was no way I could listen to music knowing that it could sound just a bit better. I had JL C2s before switching out for the Audiofrogs - they sounded great, but I wanted bright and orgasmic and thats what I have with the GBs.

Nice! I ended up going with GB 60 in the kicks, GS in rear pods, and Audio Dynamics Point Source tweeter/midrange in the dash and it sounds really good! Did you mount both the tweeters and mid in the stock location?

I'll bet that sounds sweet!

I mounted the GB40 in the factory dash locations and the tweeters in the A-pillars adjacent to the window defrosters. Pain in the rear but sounds great...

I posted a picture of the tweeter install and method of install here:

Did the GB60 fit into the kick panel without issue and allow the covers to go back on?
I had to drill some new holes in the vehicles sheet metal around the speaker mount the speakers but they did fit just fine. I never tried putting the covers back on - they look like they will fit but if they are driven hard it's possible they would make contact with the grill...

I have the GB60's in the kicks with the grill covers on. (Didn't have to drill any holes in sheet metal) I did grind off some of the plastic from the backside of the grills to keep the rubber surround from hitting and then put some friction tape around ring that contacts the outside frame of the speaker. All that said, I did notice a small amount of rattle on the passenger side at the highest levels the other day, but it wasn't there initially, so I need to see if something shifted. Regardless, you can see the pictures in part 4 of my post from last year. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...de-in-bronco-raptor-7-part-diy-install.58409/

Did the GS42 fit with factory covers? Wasn't sure if the tweeter poked up too high...

They fit under the grille with a few mm to spare. They do not line up with factory mounting holes, so will need an adapter or new holes.
