ADS is as follows:
Front:
6.6” total stroke
18” compressed
24.644 Extended

Rear:
10” total stroke
17.719” compressed
27.723” Extended

let us know if we can help with any ADS items. We also offer lots of custom setups if you choose to go that route.

How does this compare to the others Icon, Fox, King, Rad Flo, Eibach, What are the special features that sets them apart from the rest and what is the cost on a set. Thank you much for the reply

As far as comparing them to others, I haven’t done side by side comparisons so I’ll stick with what I know. These are made in house at ADS in Tucson Arizona. The same components and processes used in the ADS Race shocks are also used in these direct bolt ons which I know is different than a lot of mainstream companies. The Bronco kits are in stock and ready to ship which is also refreshing. The ADS kit has dual rate rear springs. There is also an improvement in travel. Slightly more bump and slightly more droop. If I recall it’s 1/2” more bump and 1” more droop but I’ll have to double check that. ADS/ Holley bought three Broncos with different setups and packages and tested immensely. They came up with spring rates and valving for those variations. The kit also includes remote reservoirs with 20 click adjustments for compression dampening. Preload is adjustable front and rear as well. I’m sure I’m forgetting something but I’m happy to answer any more questions anyone may have if I didn’t address something.
price is $5757 for the complete set.

I'd love to get the Bronco on an RTI Ramp. I played on some dirt mounds close to our house today and it flexes very well. On road driving feels more planted. It soaks up the bumps off road much better as well. I need to replace my upper control arms because they are limiting travel up front. We will see tomorrow if we can get alignment in specs without changing the upper control arms.

Yes that is something I would be interested in Thank you
Fox 2-door and 4-door part numbers are the same:
FRONT Compressed Lengths: 18.79 Extended Lengths: 24.26 Travel: 5.47
REAR Compressed Lengths: 19.24 Extended Lengths: 27.21 Travel: 7.97

King:
FRONT
Compressed Lengths: 18.50 Extended Lengths: 24.60 Travel: 6.10
REAR Compressed Lengths: 18.50 Extended Lengths: 27.00 Travel: 8.50

*These measurements, are going from the top of the top hat to center of lower bolt, or to mounting surface of bar pin.

DON'T let the longer travel fool you. More travel/droop is not a good thing in this case. We've been testing and tuning both Fox and King in the last few weeks and the Kings really are a bit too long in front causing the CV axles to bind, even with aftermarket axles they bind. This will lead to premature wear or worse. We will be addressing this. Fox lengths are not an issue.

We are also working on a Fox vs King comparison article. Quite a few big difference between these shocks.

Papa
Please if you could give me a comparison and if you know actual expanded and collapsed lengths I can't seem to find any of this published I wish someone made shock hats that would allow me to run regular coilovers. I have always wanted to work with accutune when I was running my jeeps just never got the chance. Their setups seem really well researched and take alot of the guess work out
Why would you want to run "regular coilovers" vs shocks made specifically for the Bronco?

I agree I think there is only room for a small amount of extra droop over stock, any more than that the Dif needs to be dropped to compensate. Welcome to IFS. We need a company to make a completely new high angle Dif to allow for more droop.

I'd love to hear about your solution to the King shocks droop length. I'm about to pull the fronts to install a lower spring rate and would like to address both issues at once if possible.

Our solution will involve an internal spacer, limiting the droop travel a bit. Unfortunately this wont be an easy thing just anyone can do since it will require the shock to be taken apart. It will likely be something included as an option with purchase of new shocks from us, or you can send the shocks in to be modified.

I'm curious, why are you switching to a lower spring rate in the front?

Ok, that makes sense. I want to change spring rates to get a lower ride height. I have a 4dr Badlands with 2500 miles on the Kings and my driver CV is way to steep and is making me nervous. I’ve traded countless emails with King and they haven’t been very helpful. They suggested a 500lb coil but when I run the calculations I think I should be at 450lbs but also concerned about that being too soft. Here’s a pic of the driver CV for reference.
