Not the best access to draining the oil. I woulda thought they’d put a nice size access panel, but it’s just a hole. I really think you’ll have to remove this skid and since it’s trapped, the aft ones as well to drain the oil. I think this design should change.

I think you installed the plates in the wrong order. Start from the back and work towards the front. The lip between plates should be towards the rear so you don't snag driving forward. You should only have to remove the front keyhole section for an oil change.

Loving the build by the way. Very similar to where I want to go with mine. Congrats and enjoy!

RCI Sliders installed today. About as difficult as I expected. My new floor jack was so critical in my success by myself. Used pry tool to pop all the brake line and wiring harness clips. Most went back in, some did NOT have a new hole either in the slider or frame, so I zip tied a few. Weird but this was reality. I pushed the slide as far in/up it would go (tight against frame) and notches in the sliders that “might” have exposed a harness hole were way off. Could be 2023 frame vs whatever RCI designed around. I think they look great, function as expected and install was a 6 out of 10.

Found some pretty cool/custom license plate frames. First set I ordered were CRAP. These are nice and unique.

Bug / “rock” deflector installed…Bronco is a bug magnet, even just little short trips to get coffee. I think looks good as I’ve always like the look on other Broncos. Real test soon……

Yesterday/Today was JCR Tailgate Reinforcement Plate

Plate came assembled incorrectly with threaded inserts in the wrong locations and 1 fell out. I found this out when Bronco was already apart, so I slept on it (well minimal sleep) and came up w a plan. I did reach to JCR and tell them of this situation but I was determined to recover TODAY. I knocked out all the bad inserts, freeing up the pass thru holes for mounting to Bronco. Then instead of the JCR design of inserts in the locations for mounting the spare tire carrier to the plate, I decided a bolt/thread-lock nut on the backside was a better design. If one insert can fall out, what’s to say more would not fail later and if this happens, the spare tire would fall off. I used the bolt/nut method and it worked PERFECTLY. There was room behind to get a wrench on the nut. I feel MUCH better now and will sleep at night knowing my spare is secure.

Word of warning beyond JCR video. Prop up your tailgate with solid something to help it stay in original position. Not a super big deal as I had to realign the tailgate twice. I saw someone even put a piece of tape across the gap to see if moved (it will but you can recover). Overall I’m very happy. Too bad the plate came damaged, even a small scratch that I put nail polish on, but I’m very glad I got it done.

I also took a hole saw and careful cut a hole in my 5th Black Rhino center cap, so I could use at the spare location and it looks seamless. Very happy with final product.

Another step in the progress:

Mounted Trailgater today. Super nice table, great quality. Not so happy with the little plastic inserts you place in Bronco tailgate to accept mounting screws. While installing, one clip fell thru into tailgate cavity (lost forever). Luckily they provided a backup. I hesitated to fix this as it seemed sturdy enough but I knew it would bother me, so I removed all screws, took table down and put extra clip in. Then proceeded to reinstall table and another one fell in, lost forever. No more backups so I said “it’s good enough” as this missing screw is on the bottom and everything is super secure. Anyway, fun little project and looks nice, functions great.

Any rattle from the cutting board or the release rings?
