How do I check what powerup version I'm on? I just took delivery last week, built 1/16. I had expected it'd be like a new PC where it gets an update shortly after setup. I have it on wifi and with nightly checks for updates.

Sync version shows 22277, rev 588. But how do I see these other software versions like 3.5.x?

you don't. only way to know is dealer has module to tell you or when you get your first update the TSB number is in the message on your phone. It's not the greatest system.

I switched to “neutral tow” to test.
Within a second of switching. The break peddle jumped (like assist was gone)
And the “check brake” light came on.

I would sure like more information myself..

I love my bronco, I love driving it, I’ve loved the concept… But, the longer I have it the more I appreciate my 20+ years older low tech vehicles. I know the younger crowd readily embraces the technology, great when it works, really frustrating when it doesn’t. But when you’ve lived the majority of your life without it, you know you can live without it. Maybe why the older trucks & 4x4s are skyrocketing in price and in demand for restoration. There, I said it.

Hey everyone!

My software version is 4.2.4. Is Booger current or behind?

With regular access to the cellular network, connection to my home WiFi and even with requesting update checks inside the vehicle I haven’t had an update since October 2022 but I *haven’t paired a phone* either 🤷‍♂️

Same here, I am stuck on 3.54 from right after I received the vehicle. Tried turning updates, on, off, changing days, & followed the instructions on the video on powering off head unit twice, sending the message twice & setting the parking brake, still nada.

Wait...My Bronco wasn't designed and built in perfect form when I purchased it? Why does it need updates? That implies they sold me a less than perfect product. And if it was less than perfect or unfinished at the time of purchase, I think I should have been told. "Sir, This vehicle you are purchasing from us is a work in progress. But we want you to pay full price for an unfinished product. Please understand we have been building cars for barely over a century. At some point we will get this right."

Oh - you must be a time traveler from the past. Welcome to 2025 where even your toaster and wrist watch will need OTA updates

In 20 years people will have ripped out all the tech in these old SUVs. The platform is solid and at the end of the day the major components can be made to work without Ford.

I have two old vehicles. The 69 Ford truck is pretty simple and cheap to work on. The engine was expensive to rebuild and the powertrain will never get much better than 10mpg. Parts are easy to find.

the 61 Lincoln is another story. It will forever be difficult to keep running.
