Been fighting the sta-bar disconnect error for going on 5 years on ā21 Badlands.
All associated hardware has been replaced, including antilock brake module which they thought had a short in it. No joy. Ford engineering is supposedly involved with trying to find a solution. Frustrating.
Itās a combination of angle, extremely thin glass and bad luck. Iāve seen my own front tires throw a rock straight up, how? I donāt know as I have big mud flaps and the tires donāt project outside the flares. And yes, very conscious of following too close to other vehicles, but itās the ones you...
As long as we are wishing.
A manual parking brake
An instrument gauge package that is instinctive, no bar graph.
Swing out spare tire carrier.
Fold down tailgate with retractable glass, that works on the soft top as well as the hard top.0
Tire pressure is a compromise, between ride comfort, tire wear and mpg. No one pressure does it all.
off roading calls for a lower pressure for ride comfort and traction. I lower my pressure in the winter for hopefully better traction, raise it in the summer for better mpg.
Iāve fought the random sta-bar failures since my ā21 Badlands was new. Dealership finally tracked it down to a short in the ABS control module. After waiting 2 months the part is finally in, next week to swap it out.
Fluid film or any similar product, even used engine oil, wiped onto the underside will help. If youāve ever had vehicles that had an oil leak youāll notice the the difference in corrosion, at least I have. Wipe off the oily parts and it was like new underneath. I remember the frames on older...
My Bronco is a manual so I opted for the block heater. My vehicle usually sits outside so I set up a timer to turn on at 4 am, plug it in when itās going to be down to 15 or colder.
Whatās nice is it warms up under the hood a little bit, might help the battery stay a little bit warmer...
What tire pressures are folks running in the KO2ās?
I ran 35 psi last winter with manual Badlands with 4A engaged and I donāt think I ever slipped a wheel.
More of a testament of the 4A transfer case than the BFGās I guess.
Weāve always had one around the farm growing up, still have one, but youāve got to be careful. Mine has had the most use pulling fence posts, and that got dicey a couple times.
Thank goodness you donāt have the factory sta-bar disconnect, Iāve had nothing but problems on a ā21 Badlands.
It is so integrated into the computer system, that adding it after the fact to a single switch is the way to go.
Iāve had problems since it was new, turns out the problem wasnāt with...
