Looks good, do you think the camera could be mounted to the Control box where the “W” logo is located?
I am sure some one could figure out a way to mount it there. However I believe the Camera would then have a little of the mounting plate and all the fairlead in its picture.

Definitely will be blocked if you mount it farther back and more importantly you’d lose visibility down below where you most want it. Mine just barely picks up the rope guard on my flat link with camera installed in the JCR bracket already. Not sure there’s going to be a perfect solution for camera and winch

While it’s a little troubling to have the camera sticking out, the bottom of the camera is 2’9” off the ground on stock tire, wheel and suspension. Additionally, the flat link and ropeguard stick out from the fairlead about the same distance as the camera providing pretty good protection for the camera.

It’s going to take a pretty gnarly obstacle to get to your camera. Try avoid vertical 3’ walls. 🤪

Got my synthetic rope on the winch yesterday. Not happy with the fact you cant tension the hook on the shackle with out the metal being on the winch mounting plate. So looks like I will be spending money with Factor 55. Trying to decide between Flat Link or Ultra Hook. Warn cover is also on to protect the synthetic line from the sun.

Lucky for me I decided initially to go with closed system for the winch so I didn’t end up running into the problem of the hook rubbing against the plate under tension. I’d be more worried about damaging my rope on rocks with the hook tensioned. It’s in a much more exposed spot than the camera.

I got the flat link, not cheap, but tensions cleanly, gives some additional protection to the camera and you get a choice of colors (the special orange doesn’t really match the code orange though, but close enough I guess). The camera is totally unobstructed without a rope guard on the flatlink. I only got the guard because adding it got me free shipping and it was discounted too. Not sure I need it though and did result in some minor obstruction.

I couldn’t justify the Ultrahook. I’m not sure what more I can do with that than I can do just as easily with the Flatlink and soft shackle. But it’s only money!

Well the Orange Ultra Hook and rope guard is on its way. Seems like it's the best solution to prevent damage to painted parts, and to the winch line. With the guard you're assured that none of the rope is exposed to the sun.

I was pretty much going to go Flat Link for the reasons you stated. My brother convinced me to go Ultra Hook. I fell for it, LOL. He says you bought a Raptor, and you are not willing to spend 100 more.

Your brother is a bad influence, but he does have a point!

Didn't like the way the Warn winch hook was against the mounting plate when pulled tight. This was my costly but effective solution.
