Yea the quality on this thing is pretty sad, you can tell that the employees building them just don't give a crap up there in Michigan. Kia's and Hyundai's are now better built.
I had so many issues with my driver door already between already going to the body shop to nuts literally loose in the door, the dealer "fixed" it until it rained and the water poored in. So I took the door panel off and fixed it myself.
Had to adjust the bumper because it wasn't level, I feel like who ever is at the end of the line for final inspection is about as useless as the Costco receipt checker just marking the paper and causing a unnecessary line.

I just ordered a Lexus GX 460 with the offroad package and V8. Have to admit, looking forward to a classic, boring, totally reliable ride with the best fit & finish in the world!

P.S. i apologize for feeling like a traitor!
The GX is likely in the top 10% when it comes to reliability, fit and finish. Probably higher. Old platform, horrible gas mileage and boring but smooth, capable and reliable. Also, limited customization with no $ return on mods but can be built into a nice overland type rig.

I’m on my 3rd Ford in 14 months. Maverick AWD lariat, BS OB and a Badlands Bronco . I’m pretty pleased with assembly. Nothing wrong with any of the three regarding assembly. No warranty claims on the BS or Maverick. I have to take the Bronco in for pre collision camera not functioning. Other than that it’s good. I’m a pretty picky person. No door gap, seal or window issues. Could things be better on all 3? Sure. Most cars could.

I wonder if we went on Toyota forums if people are complaining about similar things. Toyotas, especially the trucks are famous for crappy interiors, irregular gaps, squeaking etc.
I walked away from my Tundra TRD Pro today for this exact reason. At $80K (after tax) I would not be ok with the QC issues I have found. Broncos that I've seen have notably better quality than the latest Tundra. I feel like I haven't seen a single even gap anywhere on that truck. Something popped and clearly broke when I tried to adjust the driver seat and the passenger seat felt like it was stuffed with crumbled up parchment paper in the lumbar support area. The whole interior felt like it's made out of vinyl wrapped styrofoam and there were glue streaks where the various interior door panels meet.

Nice to hear something positive on the quality for once.

I haven't found any QC issues to complain about with mine. In fact, the more I take it apart for upgrades, the more free stuff I find inside. Just the other day I was installing a battery maintainer and found one of those plastic christmas tree fasteners for the hood liner that fell into a crack during assembly. Sweet, that's going in the toolbox for later.

So ive been waiting 577 days not as long as most, and my wildtrak came in friday night , so i went to look at it saturday, i was so dissapointed when checking it over, 1) both doors were not flush sticking out about a quarter inch ,2) there was a hole in the weatherstripping above the drivers side door, 3) the window on the passenger side is bearly touching the top weatherstip (air leak) 4) the center weather stip between the 2 front mic top panels is sticking out on the end near the windshield, dont they check these things at the factory ?????
Did you tell the dealer or just posted it here? The dealer can fix all that before you pick it up.

Sorry but these are minor details this is no Cadillac. Easy fix be glad you have it and enjoy.
Seriously, it's posts like this that make it sound like the customer is being unreasonable, when in fact, they are completely justified in commenting on the highly variable quality control and in expecting a vehicle built to the factory specifications.

I get that it's not a "Cadillac" or even a Ferrari, but to act as if it was supposed to come from the factory all jacked up is just wrong. I went over my Bronco with a great deal of scrutiny regarding the fit and finish. In the end, I was only able to find one flaw at the dealership (water hose and pulley interference, resolved with a zip tie) and one later when working on sealing out the wind noise (loose screw, tightened and resolved). Everything else (save the hardtop wind noise) was perfect.

Guess what... That's exactly how Ford engineered it to show up. It was a vehicle that they rightly should be proud of and one that I was happy with. As a result, I have nearly 60k trouble free miles on it.

Quality control should never be variable or spotty... Sure overall costs must be constrained by quality of materials, manufacturing methods, and even greater tolerances; but not by inconsistent quality control.

I agree that quality is a priority but production issues do happen .I don’t like it as well as anyone else but ford will correct these issues .I would not be too concerned to take delivery if it were my build it’s a great vehicle .

Picked mine up today and I have this on both sides. Did either of you talk to your dealer about it? @jmg

I purchased a new 2017 F250, at about 10k miles I figured I’d change the air filter. When I opened it up there was a roll of electrical tape down in the box.
