That's good news. I have a service visit scheduled for after the holidays. It'd be good to hear that throaty roar w/o all the chatter.

Hoping someone has access to the TSB, as I haven’t seen anything yet

Nothing yet was told issue was related to 5-6 gears

*UPDATE*

I got a call from the head of Techs at my Ford dealership telling me that Ford sent them a TSB for 5th and 6th synchro gear rings on the 7MT. The TSB describes all the symptoms that we all have been having: grinding noise on first and second gear when driving, grinding noise while the clutch is engage (50 degrees or lower temp) and slightly going away when warm, and the noise going away when putting the shifter on sixth gear without pressing the Clutch in. She’s going to order the parts and let me know when they’re there so I can bring my bronco in and get it all fixed up. I was hoping I could hear this from them, she told me the smartest thing was to wait for a TSB instead of doing anything mayor. Will keep you guys updated!

part of me wishes I had waited (and part of the reason i brought it in was just for them to recognise the issue before i got too far along with it) but I think they have the pull the transmission either way, so with a full replace at least they dont have to open it up. It will certainly be cheaper for ford but I dont think any less invasive on the Bronco

Maybe you can call them and let them know, the TSB is out so if anything the should check those synchro gears in your new 7MT. Best of wishes!

not a bad idea, its got about 150km on it no issue so far, I will be calling them the second i hear it again though.

I do still wonder how many of these were affected by the issue, I bet it is significantly less than half

I have been lurking on the forum a while and this thread is what finally gave the me incentive to join. Got my 7MT Badlands a month ago approximately. Had this exact noise since day 1. Glad there is a TSB for it.

My problem with this is that our transmissions will be taken apart to fix the synch. Issues with gears 5&6, and this can lead to bigger issues with the transmission. Why can’t Ford offer new updated transmissions?

Maybe they have thought about this, updated transmissions will not have the issue and people with older 1st gen transmission will get the fix. Will see how this goes, as long as is a permanent fix then I don’t mind.
