Yup. They should have just put two big LCD numbers in the middle of the dash for speed and tach.

I do wish the physical speedo was actually a physical tach. Past that though, the rest of the screen is largely irrelevant to me, just like mirrors.

You guys spend to much time staring at the dash.
That’s because you have to stare at it to figure out what it’s trying to tell you. If it were designed properly, you could see everything you need to know at a glance. 🤪

11k miles in and I still hate it. Why is it off-center? Why is there a hideous, unnecessary, unusable analog speedo? Why does it have essentially no customization?

They somehow made an 8" screen with the functionality of those old 2" pixel displays.

And considering that it's just software....why can't we fully customize it? Every now and then I notice the speedo to the left and go, oh, that's so pretty....lol.

The instrument cluster reminds me of communism. Great on paper, but an utter cluster**k in reality.

Someone designed it in an office and went "this is perfect!" But never had to see it in action.

(This is not meant as a political post. I'm illustrating a point. Sheesh)
This...
is what happens when you hire some college kid who thought the Kia Soul was THE CAR to have because of the stupid hamster commercials but has no idea how to actually design a functional dash and a leadership team more interested in their twitter feed than actually managing the company.

At least the rest of the team got their jobs right and created a pretty good vehicle over all.

Its not the end of the world, but I can count on 1 finger the number of times I have looked at the analog speedo in the 8 months I've had my Bronco. Its completely pointless.

Agree an analogue tach is a much better indicator than analogue speedo. It actually seems to have quite a bit of customization for the right hand side at least though. You can view all sort of relevant and important telemetry including oil temp, turbo PSI and battery voltage.

I don't even mind the analog speedo all that much. They were clearly trying to do a nod to the first gen having it on the left side, but it should be all analog, or all digital. Mixing it just made both look less useful.

An analog speedo can provide information without having to read it. You can glance at it with your peripheral vision and know approximately what speed you are going. With a digital speedo you have to read the number - it requires more time to read, and you have to look at it directly.

That ridiculous bar-graph tach is next to worthless.

My design would have round-dial tach and speedo, and the option to configure a digital speed display in addition to the round dial for the crowd that thinks those are better.

Display is the worst part of the Bronco design.

Before getting my Bronco I would have agreed with you. Analog gives you relativity at a glance. But now, I've probably looked at it twice in 11 months. It, like the EB speedo is in a horrible location.

My only gripe (about the dash) is the analog speedo and digital tach. Should have been reversed for manual transmission owners. It's actually my biggest pet peeve for the entire vehicle. 2nd place goes to carpet in the back of the back seats in MGV washout interior. 3rd place is manual transmission not getting trail turn assist

Yes. Just make the analog portion the tachometer. That would improve the whole cluster tremendously. Or just make the whole thing digital but give us a reasonable tachometer. We know they can. Look at the Bronco Raptor. Look at the Ranger.

It could be much worse, but not a fan of it. Some small things could make it so much better such as labeling the lines in the tach area.

I don't much care on the blue hue which seems to barrow its color from this forum. To me blue is the most eye fatiguing and difficult to focus on. The cyan-ish blue is much better but not as easy on the eye as greens.

It varies by individual, but typically, people's eyes have the most green sensitive cells followed by red with a rather minority of blue sensitive ones.
