I (and I know others) have experienced where our knee hits the knob getting out of the vehicle and it switched to on. In most instances it is so light a touch that I didn't realize it.

FIXED: Headlights turning on when switched off

I'm in Houston, so we haven't had cool weather. But I recently got the Bronco sun shade and have noticed that this problem has happened less since then. Nothing scientific, but maybe another data point

That was a popular theory early on.. but you can quickly tell the difference between an accidental bump (a different setting is illuminated) vs. the switch failure (nothing is illuminated). Then once you toggle the switch, it lights up and you can successfully turn your lights off.

Did anyone get this fixed yet?
Now my headlights turn on when i walk into garage and unlock my doors. Then i open my door, the bell is dinging, and none of the lights on the lightswitch are on. I have to turn the dial ands they go off. All this with car off

My 2022 base has been doing this since April and I'm getting a little tired of it. I don't even turn them off anymore they turn off after about 10 minutes.

Yeah, I'm used to it. But there was supposed to be a fix in October from ford with a new switch. I'm waiting to take it in. I don't need to take it in if they don't have the new parts yet

SSM 50842 - 2021-2022 Bronco - Headlamps Turn On By Themselves When Vehicle Is Off - DTC B1533
Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a condition of intermittent headlamp operation while the vehicle is OFF and have diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1533stored in the body control module (BCM). This may be due to the internal logic within the headlamp switch. Switch and/or module replacement will not resolve this condition. Headlamp operation is not affected while the vehicle is ON. A new headlamp switch is currently under development to correct this condition. Let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment in October 2022, when parts are expected to become available. Follow up with the customer to confirm the appointment once OASIS is updated with the repair information.

Mines been doing it since I got it, outside or in the garage. I was hoping for a software update to fix it.
Yeah I’ve been having this same issue, unfortunately. It’s quite annoying but thankfully it’s only seemed to happen when the car is already off so not causing the lights to be on for hours at a time. Usually only notice it when I park for a short while and come back to the car to have it dinging at me.

Add me to the list. Unexplained dead battery about 2 weeks ago. Was able to jump it, drove it a bit and it seemed to be fine (besides a million codes that are all electrical related). A few days later, dead again. Contacted local ford dealer and made first available appt about 3 weeks out. Bought new battery from costco so I can continue to drive it. My son just stopped by this evening and said your bronco lights are on. I did not leave my lights on.

Mine doesn't drain the battery. The lights aren't ALWAYS on for me fortunately. You might want to get a battery tender until it's fixed
Also, hopefully you get reimbursed for the battery, but you probably wont since you fixed it yourself

Mine has been doing this since new. Sometimes the headlights come on sometimes just the running lights. It was parked last night for an hour and they just came on. It happens all different times of the day.
