I wonder, if shaving some of the steering housing mount or replacing the isolation bushing with a thinner one would be a solution to get better clearance? This in theory would move the steering rack forward hopefully giving enough room for aftermarket Tie Rods like RPG. If anyone has some input on this theory that would be great.

When my factory badlands susp is do for replacement...figure around 40-60k miles I am eye F<& the stage 3-5 range tubular products for the cost vs features. Looking like a fantastic set of options across the lineup.
Yep ..let all the "pathfinding" commence ---when I am due the crap will be purged from the aftermarket circus and hope to see some excellent, proven options.

For those of you with the Icon Billet UCA and Icon coil overs, how are you routing the reservoir line between the coils and the UCA? Mine looks like any and all photos I can find, but there is absolutely no clearance between the UCA and the res line. It either rubs on the coil or rubs on the UCA. It's not catastrophic but I am comfortable stating that it will lead to failure eventually.

I'm about to get an alignment after the 37s are mounted, so I'm hoping that adding camber to the billet UCA will increase the amount of space between the UCA and the coils thereby negating this as an issue.

Between this and the janky pin situation, I'm a little disappointed so far in this kit.

When does yours make contact. Mine is making contact before full droop and is cutting into the hose. I have experimented and found the best clearance achieved was to loosen the res clamps and then drop the UCA slowly to apply downward pressure that helps position the res in the best natural position during droop. If your res hose is making contact with the spring at the hose connections a plastic interior wedge and a hammer gives you micro manipulation adjustment of pulling the connection from the shock spring. I am still believing that ICON is the best setup for my FE.

It only happens at full droop and its not quite pinching it between the coil and UCA.. I do see a spot on the UCA that is dished out (the edge is rounded) so it looks like the hose is supposed to go there, but the hose/line doesn't reach anywhere near that point.

I'm curious if the best long term solution is to have a shop redo the hoses either a bit longer to reach to the indented part of the UCA or shorter to do gown the side of the coil..

I have no clue how much that'll cost, but it doesn't sound cheap.

Like I said, I think I'm going to have to get the upper billet UCA dialed in with an alignment and go from there. Hopefully some camber will give me another .25" or so to fit some abrasion sleeves over the hose.

Jesus Christ, issues on top of issues. I don't feel bad now for cancelling my order. I'm just going to go with the blistein 6100's now for a while. Hopefully they get here by the end of the week to solve my other suspension issue. Aka.. blown out spring perch from shitty perch collar install. 🤦🤷

Hey guys if you have ICON remote reservoir coilovers along with our billet UCA's and you're seeing contact between the hose and UCA or coilspring (or both), please contact our customer service specialist Scott Spiva directly at [email protected]. In most cases the fix will require some minor adjustment to the hose clocking and/or the UCA pivot adjusters, which Scott can work you through if you are willing to do it yourself. If you're not, Scott is authorized to make whatever arrangements it takes to make you happy with your ICON products.

Yes, unfortunately we've had several mis-steps with this launch of our Bronco coilovers. It's unfortunate that we have allowed these small clearance issues to overshadow the features and benefits of what are otherwise high quality, high performance suspension components. But we're doing our best to address them with both current customers as well as making adjustments to the product for current and future production. But I understand your hesitance to trust our products based on these issues so far.

We are staying transparent and public about the issues and our efforts to address them, and I hope that over time we will be able to restore our reputation in your eyes.

Tubular as well. I'm going to try to make some adjustments to bring it further forward.

So I just got the "fix" to reposition. Could it be done in the driveway? yes. Do you almost have to remove everything in order to do it? also yes.

Come on, I didn't have time to install these so I paid quite a decent amount to get it done at a shop. Now you want us to completely disassemble that work to fix them?

"Some grinding may be required on sway bar"? I mean @Dusty at ICON , is there any hints as to whether a badlands will require grinding? If that is so... I'm out.

I'm not trying to gloss over the obvious issues with fitment etc.

But I am overall very happy with my coilovers. Ill tweak some things here and there but the ride on and offroad has been great. Just wanted to put some good reviews out there since you typically only hear about the negatives (not saying they aren't warranted).

I got my kit in the mail today, too. It's decent temperature-wise outside today, so I think I am going to give it a go. The instructions provided are pretty basic, so I am hoping there isn't much to it. However, I also don't have a crowfoot wrench, and the 1 and 1/16 size is turning out to be difficult to find (no retail store around me other than Northern Tool has that size in stock and of course, its a gigantic kit of different size heads for $130) Found on one on Amazon and should be here tomorrow. It's only used to torque the nut after swapping out, so I'll attempt to at least see how the new placement of everything is with the new lower pin.

I saw that....I hope it doesn't come to that. I will be returning my setup before I grind down the sway bar. I'll report back hopefully soon. But, with my skillset, it'll probably be midnight tonight.
