Yeah I got white. I Like running them most of the time at night just for a little extra all around brightness and the ssc2’s already on the pillars are yellow. I know it probably doesn’t make the most functional sense, but I like how it looks. Plus I may eventually do what you did with the ssc1’s , but in yellow. So between the yellow ssc2 and ssc1’s I’ll have my yellow all covered! I’ll update once I adjust them. Probably wont have time until at least the weekend though.

They are backlit. When they are on they are white, but brighter than stock.

I knew the SS3's did and I read your whole write up thinking I would mimic it before I saw the elites. I prefer the stock look in that factory location but wanted the backlight, so elites are for me.

Yea, I like the round look too

If I could get the elites in a PRO POWER output level I'd probably switch.

They also have a sharper beam cut off. It's impressive .

Little update on my elites. I went to finally adjust them last night and realized one of the lamps was faulty. It shines bright, but the beam pattern was wrong and unfocused. Good news is, Diode responded to my email about it right away and are sending me a replacement. Very happy with the quick assistance. Down side is I wont have it until sometime in August since they are now backordered, but no big deal.

I was able to figure out how to access the adjustment screws though. The driver’s side is super easy, with clear straight on access to the screw when looking up from below the bumper. Just need a long philips head. The passenger side screw is tucked up behind the plastic, so I used a dremel with a sanding wheel to open up access. Its definitely a little wider than necessary, but its what I had and no one sees it anyway. Took 2 mins and had access to the screw from below.

It does have the bluish line you see in the photo. I believe it is intentional. DD says on their site, “including a BMW-style “color flicker” at the very edge of the pattern.”

I don’t really get the purpose of it but it isnt nearly as noticeable when the headlights are on as well. Or when the lights are shining down the road and not on my shed.

This is easy peazy! Even an accountant (with tools) can do it. Truly plug and play, no alterations needed.

The only strange part was that I was trying to disconnect the fog light module from up under the front end, then realized that I should hold off.....you disconnect and reconnect on the back of each light! Much easier.

And the only part I'm not clear on is how on earth you'd aim these. I left mine tight but moveable and hope that once adjusted they stay in place. Otherwise, you'd have to get them aimed, pull the bumper again, and then tighten down the side screws. Which would require dremeling out the outer edge of the plastic trim piece.

If it’s SS3 you can’t leave them lose

I can tell you to aim them as low as possible on the bracket and that’s the right setting. Do it when then bumper is off.

Ask me how I know.

Yep ss3.... Beauty! They're pretty tight, just not super tight. Pulling the bumper is pretty easy.

Old thread I know but figured I'd ask anyway. Do the Elite Series plug and play directly into the OEM fog light switch or do they have to be wired to AUX switches? I want more light but want to retain my factory fog light button on the headlight selector.
