Just curious…If I have replaced all 6 speakers, added a Kicker powered Hideaway subwoofer in the rear and added the Kicker Key200.4 to power the front & rear pods, is it recommended to still ForScan the rear pods and then do the pink sound test for calibration of the DSP? Or is the ForScan step not necessary with the pod speaker replaced and DSP Key process doing its thing?

Where did you put the hideaway? I was hoping to get it under a seat in my 4 door but it’s not look good…

There isn’t room for the hideaway under the seats in the Bronco that I can tell. I took some measurements before in the mannequin we had on the dealership showroom floor.

You shouldn’t need the remote wire. Did you push the radio detect button in on the amp I had to or it made a funny sound I don’t remember a popping noise though.
I ended up swapping my speakers around and I like the JL audio sound in the front better then focal. Focal sounds good but man it’s a bright loud speaker they’re a lot louder than the jl audio I’m sure they’d sound great with a sub but too bright for me without one I feel like they over come all the speakers. Going to wait till I get my bass blockers and put the JL audio back up front. I did find out you can’t put the speaker covers on the rear pods with the jl audio installed they just don’t fit all the way on.

So, after getting everything installed and now that I was able to not rush as I ran out of sunlight, I spent some time this morning redoing my Auto Eq test and properly adjusted may gains. I also realized after my first Auto Eq setup I had hit the button and turned off what the amp did, so now I fully understand and have this all set up. Speakers are really dialed in and I'm blown away! Huge shout out to Plug and Play Kits (Plug & Play Kits Website) as I've never installed a 4 Channel Amp this quickly...the custom harness is AMAZING!

To help anyone out, I did record three videos showing:

-3 Different Generas (Dance, Pop, Rock) - Don't beat me up on the selections, just trying to help people hear the difference

-I do a fade to both the front and rear speakers so you can hear how this amp really improves the rear speaker sound

-I do have an Audison 10" Loaded Subwoofer that I do have turned off at the start of each video. I do work it in so you can also hear my complete system.

-Know I am not a video pro, so I apologize for noises and creeks as I move around or if this may not sound the best. Hopefully you can hear how full the cabin now sounds with this amp in using the Kicker Auto EQ. Note that all my radio settings are flatlined.

-Headphones may make these videos sound better.

-The cover pictures for each video are just cool pics I love of my Bronco!

This was before I had the amp so I don't know how much of a difference they make. They've been in since last July and I just put the amp in this last week.

I think Kit 17. That's what I bought. I'm hopeful some company will make a nice enclosure for the B&O location that I can throw a subwoofer in later on.

The wiring with the hideaway comes with 8 feet my harness I provide 9 feet for a total of 17 feet is the standard length to reach the back of most vehicles . If you want it shorter than you would just tell me when you purchase it

I already have one of your harnesses for a separate sub. I am going to add the key amp in. Can you tell me which wires you draw power from? Is it enough to drive aftermarket speakers or should I just run a wire to the battery? I’d hate to buy another harness when I could slightly alter what I have. Feel free to do me if it’s not something you want to share in the public forum.

Just an update . As of March 13th we will have about 15 kicker key amp kits left that will be available in the next 5 -10 days . We will also have a small quantity of kit 31 which is the Harness only for people that already have the kicker key 200.4 . I will announce when they are available on my plugnplaykits Facebook page . So please join to get the latest updates on these kits .

I’ve read some of this thread. Honestly not the entire thing. Has anyone been able to confirm if the harness takes front signal to power rears, or if it sums the channels, or if it just amplified the crappy signal from the head unit? Im trying to decide if I want to power all 6 speakers/4 channels and upgrade the rear pods, or if I want to bi-amp the fronts. I believe the decision changes the harness used, right?
