Just installed kit 11. Drilled holes in the silver plate under the steering column and mounted amp to the back of that. I does not interfere with the steering column up down adjustments, still have full range of adjustment. (penty of room for the amp and the wiring harness is long enough) I had also previously upgraded all 4 4" speakers to Infinity Ref 4032CFX. I did not flash or run forscan on rear speakers, decided to wait until I ran the key setup. After setup, it sounds AWESOME. So much louder and clearer. The rear speakers sound fine and night an day louder. If I can nitpick anything, it would maybe be a little light on low bass. I don't think I will add a sub though, good enough for my needs and there is no place to put a sub that doesn't kill cargo space or some other space.
Did you add bass blockers?

The harness might not reach to the the driver side. The place I mounted I think is perfect. You can easily get to it if you need to make an adjustment by lowering the glove box.
Okay. That’s a good point.

Kit 31 - but only if you are doing 4 - channel. For Bi-Amp he has to customize it.
Most I’ve done so far was to swap out the 4” speakers with Infinity References, and the kick panels with some cheapo brand. Still sounds a little flat though.

Would someone in my situation even need a bi-amp setup? Honestly I’m not even sure of the difference/benefits between the two.

Nice - I got the same 4". If you are powering all 4 4" and the kicks and just need the harness, 31 is it.

Im running active front stage in bi amp mode and leaving the rear 4" powered off the headunit. They say its for better accuracy and clarity.

I got my #11 kit and literally installed in under and hour. All I can say is WOW! My Focals were craving this power. I have this with a powered 10" sub and the system is unbelievable. Well worth the money and you can't beat ShopPay with 4 interest free payments over 8 weeks!

I’m glad it seems like everyone is having good results with this setup. Mine came today and my kick panel speakers get here tomorrow so hopefully I’ll get mine all set up tomorrow. Can’t wait to hear the difference it makes!

Does the crossover take out enough bass for the dash but keep enough for the kick panels?

No it takes it out of all speakers. When I had the key installed in my q50 I used the crossover in the 60hz setting but also had a 10" sub It sounded awesome. I’m betting this bronco would be the same if I had my sub in it but I don’t want to sacrifice the space by installing one. I plan to try some 0 to 300hz bass blockers in the dash and see what happens.

A lot of people are using 300hz bass blockers on the dash speakers and claim is provided great results.

My assumption would be you don’t need bass blockers in the roll bar because the head unit is limiting it anyway?

I've read this entire thread...and I shouldn't have. LOL I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff, but I do know I want better sound. Am I right in thinking I should get kit 16 to use in the base system to add a amp and sub later? And where does one procure these "bass blockers"? Should these bass blockers be used on the dash and rear speakers? Thanks for any input!

I think a lot depends on the speaker. For example I have focals in the rear pods and jl audio in the dash. With the factory radio and no amp the jl audio put out a ton bass I had to turn the bass down in the tone settings quite a bit to make them sound right. It was ok without a amp but now after the key they vibrate my whole dash. This weekend I plan to swap them around putting the focals in the front and see how that sounds. I plan to do another pink noise calibration too after the swap.
