Yes. Bi-amp mode is specifically for powering a front stage, such as a component set. You do need to run a wire directly from the Kicker KEY to the tweeter or kickpanel 6.5"s in this case though.

Kicker KEY White Paper:

"When in bi-amp mode:
The Kicker Key200.4 can also be used to set up and optimize a bi-amp system if you are powering the midranges and tweeters of a component speaker system separately. It will also do the same for wider bandwidth dash speakers (such as 3 ½”, 4”, 4 x 6”, 5 ¼” ect...) if there are larger or full range speakers in the dash along with speakers in the doors. The Key will automatically determine if you have a tweeter or larger speaker and tune accordingly."

https://www.kicker.com/app/misc/support/tech/tech_papers/docs/KEY2004_White_Paper.pdf

Yes you can. You just need to contact Joe at Plugnplay and ask him for this specific setup.

The return harness from the amp will include an extra set of wires to separate the front stage. You will run this directly to either the dash/tweeter or kick speakers. It depends on how its wired but plugnplay would tell you how to set it up.
Thanks I appreciate the help.
I’ve tried contacting joe multiple times with questions but joe never responds lol. I ended up ordering the same kit as OP. Maybe I’ll see how it sounds and if I don’t like it I’ll try the other route.

did you set yours up this way? And just have the rear pods running as normal off of the head unit just as some rear fill?

BY all means I'm not an audio wizard but surprised more people are not looking to do a Key 200 for the 6 speakers and Key 500 for a sub in the back. To me this seems like the easiest most straight forward setup, someone explain to me what I'm missing.
This will be my setup when it’s all said and done. I’m happy with the sub setup. Hopefully the 200.4 will be as good.

I'm pretty sure he's completely swamped with all the orders from Bronco6G.

I don't have mine set up yet but that is what I will do. I'm still waiting on parts.

You could use the harness you ordered and just modify it if you are comfortable doing that sort of thing. It would be a very easy change.

Just received mine and installed in with 30 min of getting. Sound is amazing. Ran the DSP setup with mic and it completely changed everything. I left compression off. No need for new speakers in my opinion. I used zip ties to secure the amp. Seems very secure this way and took 2 minutes. It is tricky getting the center panel off. I just pulled and prayed and nothing broke. Total install time was 45 min.

Ya I’m sure I could figure it out just have to see what wires go where. Just saw another guy say it sounds great running all six so I’m going to give that a go. But like you said if it doesn’t sound like I want I’ll just modify it. Thanks again for the input.

This seems counterintuitive. Wouldn't you want to remove the ford dsp via forscan before amplifying the sound? Simply cranking up the gain would likely increase the distortion unless you have a clean/full range of sound that you're sending the amp?
You input the signal to the Kicker KEY from the front channel, which is full range. This signal is amplified and sent to all 4 channels. Now if you tap into the rear speakers that is a different story. In this case you would need to unlock the full range via Forscan.

Nice idea with zip ties! I think I might try the under steering wheel when I get to order the harness Key amp...

Yep, that's what I assumed as well. I'm waiting on my harness from PnP as well. Assuming you don't want to hack up a custom harness, you're going to have to either unlock via forscan or crank up the gain? But I'm still skeptical cranking up the gain will do anything but make it "louder"...you won't be amplifying the full range of frequencies.

I'm going to try and upgrade everything and then unlock if needed. I'll post results once my harness arrives. Everything else is ready and waiting.

No the PnP harness is pulling the signal from the front channel. You don't need to change anything. Just hook it up and secure the amp. No need for Forscan but you will need to properly adjust your gain. Adjusting gain only changes the signal coming into the amp. You turn it up until you hear distortion and then back it off. This ensures you are fully utilizing the amp's power.

This is exactly what I'm doing with the addition of the Audio Control LC2I . The hope is to mount one amp under the steering column and the other behind the glove box.

The harness might not reach to the the driver side. The place I mounted I think is perfect. You can easily get to it if you need to make an adjustment by lowering the glove box.

Is anyone aware whether or not PnP sells just the harness for the Kicker 200.4? The layout of their sales page is confusing the hell outta me.

So you're saying Joe from PNP is wiring all of the bronco harnesses to run all 4 channels (plus both sub channels if applicable) off the front channel coming out of the factory head unit? I've talked to him a few times and he didn't mention this. I assumed the piggyback harness was a 1-1 match to ensure your fader still worked, etc? I didn't realize he was customizing them to work around ford dsp? If so, I might hack mine up to bring the fader back when I get it.

Kit 31 - but only if you are doing 4 - channel. For Bi-Amp he has to customize it.

Just installed kit 11. Drilled holes in the silver plate under the steering column and mounted amp to the back of that. I does not interfere with the steering column up down adjustments, still have full range of adjustment. (penty of room for the amp and the wiring harness is long enough) I had also previously upgraded all 4 4" speakers to Infinity Ref 4032CFX. I did not flash or run forscan on rear speakers, decided to wait until I ran the key setup. After setup, it sounds AWESOME. So much louder and clearer. The rear speakers sound fine and night an day louder. If I can nitpick anything, it would maybe be a little light on low bass. I don't think I will add a sub though, good enough for my needs and there is no place to put a sub that doesn't kill cargo space or some other space.
