$9,600 replacement MIC 2-door tops?

Is the damage to all the panels or just one? If it's just one panel, maybe consider taking the $$s, buy a soft top, and then buy just the panel that is damaged(or see if it can be repaired). Might be awhile to get it, but at least you have the soft top.

My freedom panel on my 2 door was damaged from factory. Dealer said that just for the 2 front panels that it costs $4800 so I would say this quote is correct.

Methinks him marketh up muchly! Would not go back there. State Farm's estimate was straight cost, I reckon. Also based on a 4-door according the the dealer's body shop.

Yessir, and someone reported a quote from a dealer for $16,000!!! Might be a mind changer for some. At least now people know that there is probably a market for tops.

I overheard the same thing at the dealership I worked with. A guy with a soft top wanted to order a MIC and it was coming in at about this amount. This was quite a shock as the ordering guide when having it buiit shows it's a $695 option. And those of us who ordered the original modular upgrade were given about $1000 worth of Ford points to change our order with the hopes we could add it later. F'ing insanity

While not surprised at these prices, they are probably greatly inflated to cut down on people trying to order them. They are in short supply and every one sold as a replacement part is a new Bronco not going out the door.

And some guys thought you'd be able to walk up to the parts counter and get the MIC top for $2000-2500 after the fact Exact reason why I kept my 2nd order for 23MY and mod top, knowing I would be able to drive Bronco #1 until I take delivery of Bronco #2 w/ mod top (if its still going to be produced) well before and cheaper than the parts counter.

Top panels with attaching hardware, less glass. Dealer going to sell to body shop at 15-30 over cost, body shop is going to charge insurance company list price. Tell me where they are getting their figure from. Supplement damage yes, all top, no. Get it put back to factory or it's going to add additional deductions above the damage report. Me thinks the body shop may be trying to screwzilla the city since they likely self insure.

Caveat, these may take time to come in but dealer can push Ford since this is a down vehicle and not just normal stock.

Kinda proves the point as well that 4dr hardtops are going to be $5k at the pets counter for those that switched to a soft top

Im in Mt P and have a soft top. Love it so far, especially when our winters still have 75 degree days. Keep it in the garage to make that canvas last a little longer. I have an '06 miata that is a rag top and is garage kept. The original top is still great after 15 years. Take care of the tops and they will last.

That being said, a hard top would be nice for longer trips and "winter" months when it does actually get cold. Ill keep an eye out when they become available and the aftermarket offers more options.

Yes, also Mt P! Your garage makes all the difference for longevity. I have a workshop in mine! Like many, I really wanted a Dual-Top, but went for the MIC and lucked out after the Dirt Mountain delay. I'm opposite of you, looking for what soft top I might buy! And, I can't figure out the best season for it . . . Maybe the Summer is TOO HOT for a soft top! And its nice to open the top on these 75° winter days!

More unless they come out with a kit that has all the glass. For my swap, I still have to add all the glass, shocks, wiper motor (may just plug the hole) and get the brackets for the bar and hardware. Retail rates would put this around $6-7K before labor.

My assumption is they will eventually sell a kit with or without glass installed for less, AKA, once they get MIC top production above orders AND MOD tops come out.

The accessory version of the hard top should be less expensive than buying over the parts counter. I just priced someone OEM factory running boards on a super duty. The plain black plastic ones that are a $445 option when ordering cost about $1000 retail via parts department. For less money you can get the accessory extended/full length chromed running boards for $800 retail from accessories. I still think hard top pricing will end up in the $4k range.
