I think a good start is with writing letters to the consumer protection division of your attorneys general at the state level. The more info that gets out there, the better. Media as well and any YouTube people, they need to start doing videos on the tops failing. Maybe start a #MICMeToo campaign on Instagram, LOL.

Not only are the original MIC tops failing, but many of the replacement tops provided under warranty are also experiencing similar issues. This suggests a deeper, unresolved design or manufacturing flaw that continues to affect vehicle owners even after initial repairs.

Once the 3-year/36,000-mile warranty expires, this issue will no longer be covered, leaving owners like myself responsible for a costly repair or replacement. I think it's time that everyone who has a MIC topstakes a stand. Everyone. Not just those who had problems, because even if you don't now, you will.

So, I'd like you to stay tuned in this thread. I'm going to get some shit started, and will need everyone who owns these MIC tops to support it.

I'm watching and waiting for some of those without cracked tops end up with a cracked top. Maybe that will stop their inane commentary and laughing at the plight of others.

I just completed this. I'm in AZ and on my fourth top (1 original + 3 replacements). And I'm now out of warranty at 41,000 miles.

I would try and speak to your dealer, They can sometimes get help for customers. This top thing is a complete clown show IMO.

It truly is. It’s a continuous problem. Ford is doing NOTHING to solve it. Replacing bad with bad until your warranty is up. Then what?

Is this still the most recent General Service Bulletin that dealerships have about MIC hard top failures?

I have a 23 Braptor manufactured in June ‘23 that has slowly been showing more and more of the snakeskin pattern throughout the top. I was looking at it closely and today first noticed a bubbling of the surface going across the top of the back section. I had planned to not worry about a replacement until I got closer to the end of the 3 yr/36k warranty….. but I also wanted to install a half roof rack over that back section before an overlanding trip this summer.

My big question is: has anyone had luck getting a warranty claim on the hardtop after installing and/or using a roof rack? I can imagine that as soon any evidence of a roof rack is/has been up there, the dealer will say it was due to the load placed on the hardtop from the rack. Any expertise from those making warranty claims? I’ve yet to see anyone making a hardtop claim with a roof rack on the forum.
