Wiring question

I installed pocket fog lights in the mod bumper and used the purple wire at the grill for the aux switches . I now have a small 13" light I need to install and I'm not sure how to wire it and power the light bar to another switch . Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Assuming you do not have the aux switches you need to find any hot wire that is on during time you need it. Example if you only need this light when engine is running or "key" in aux position you could tap into a feed to the radio.

Look at the fuse box as there is sometimes a spare circuit without an output wire. That is one possibility. You can always run hot from the battery pos terminal but that should be last resort.

Your circuit should have its own inline fuse before the switch. Where you choose to drill the dash to mount switch is up to you just be sure there is room and don't drill into wiring or anything important.

If this were a led bar with its own switch (several camping ones draw very low amps) you might consider just plugging it into an already provided 12v outlet. There are even some that will run off the lower USB voltage and provide mega light.

If this is a "small" 13" deer spotter then you need a much bigger circuit direct from battery and a 30 amp inline fuse

If you have aux switches and used the main for fogs you may or may not have a remaining circuit capable of a 13" light bar. It all depends on current draw as some of the aux switch circuits might only be 5 amp and there is only one that is 30 if I recall (search the forum as I have factory switches I have yet to tap)

What I did was run my Oracle Fog Lights to the purple wire on the grill, much like you have done. When I added a 20" LED Light Bar, I ran the wires for the light bar up to the right corner by the firewall to hook up to the AUX switches. The harness that came with my light bar was long enough, but you might just have to run a longer power wire to the switch wires up by the firewall.
