Not every day. Some days you are hanging out at the nearest emergency storm evacuation shelter. But most days it is like this. Lol2019 f250,2025 bronco, 2003 mercedes sl55 6k per year, wind insurance 4500, flood 4000, homeowners 2200. I'm 20 miles north of key west EVERYTHING down here is more. Reg gas 3.49 but i sit and have this every day!

Until very recently I had 4 cars, two of them driven by younger people, with full insurance--liability limits high enough to be the deductible for the umbrella insurance. All 2016 and newer.2019 f250,2025 bronco, 2003 mercedes sl55 6k per year
That's cost effective. I pay $3,800 in Long Island, NY for two cars and two senior drivers with low mileage per year.Until very recently I had 4 cars, two of them driven by younger people, with full insurance--liability limits high enough to be the deductible for the umbrella insurance. I paid $4K/year.
Senior may be an issue, I don't know. That's cost effective. I pay $3,800 in Long Island, NY for two cars and two senior drivers with low mileage per year.
Problem for me is that I can easily save $500+ for my auto insurance but then my homeowner insurance goes up even more without the combined policy discount. And it’s very hard to find homeowners insurance out here. It’s ridiculously expensive. Talking greater than $7.5k.Senior may be an issue, I don't know.
A couple of years ago State Farm, after 40 years, offered me nothing but a dry fist. Out of the blue. Bend over and take it, or don't. Oh, well, then you REALLY DO want me to shop around. I found the Costco vendor, and they are incredibly affordable--even to the point where an independent agent that I check with every 6 months can't come close.
Yep...I had 7500 miles on mine and it costs $1,100 and of course my deductible is $1,000...apparently Bronco windshields are a rocks best friend....I avoid all trucks as much as possible.I’m having a beer at a local brewery while my ‘25 Bronco HE gets a windshield replaced. Geico recommended Safelite and said my deductible would be $50 if Safelite couldn’t repair it. Yeah, no. The reviews on local Safelite branches are sketchy at best.
I looked for the best reviewed locally- owned glass shop in my area and settled on Patriot Auto Glass in Ashburn, VA. Veteran-owned and the reviews put Safelite to shame. Guy took all of 5 seconds to tell me I needed replacement because the crack went over the seal.
I told them I wanted “Bronco glass” and he knew what I meant and said he’d done several Broncos. They do camera calibration in-house.
Just an FYI on the cost breakdown:
OEM Bronco windshield $ 544.57
Install labor $ 295
Dymanic ADAS recalibration $ 325
Pre-tax total $ 1164.57
I’ll update on how it turns out and will update again on how Geico handles the claim after I opted not to use their anointed autoglass company.
That’s a good price. I checked with the Ford dealer near my office where I had my first oil change done and asked them if they did windshield repair in-house and they said no. I figured if they were going to farm it out, I might as well pick one myself.Had my windshield shattered by a rock from a fellow Bronco-er in front of me at SuperCell East in Townsend, TN back in April. I had the windshield replaced at my Ford dealership with OEM windshield. Cost was about $750 out the door.![]()
I've found that's the easiest way to work on my car/Bronco.I’m having a beer at a local brewery
Florida is a No Fault insurance state, thus It’s tough to compare their rates against a traditional insurance state such as California, Nevada, Az, etc due to the differences of required coverage.I've heard FL has some of the highest insurance rates in the nation.
