Just picked up my next Bronco, and I’m having an issues. This is not related to the global site window down feature. To note I have had multiple Broncos but this is the first one I’ve had this happen with.

If I unlock the vehicle the windows go down about half an inch as if when someone opens the door. This happens on all 4 doors. It happens if I use the key fob, the key pad or the unlock button on the door itself. It does not happen if I use the intelligent access on the door handle. Once that happens I have to either roll them up with the buttons, or hit either of the lock buttons (key fob, actual door lock bottom on the door). This is going to require me to roll them up each and every time I unlock the vehicle and drive away. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ugh, that’s exactly what it’s supposed to do, and how it should of been from the beginning. Ford finally fixed it.

thank you for that, first piece of information I’ve seen. Even had the dealership look and they couldn’t come up with anything from Ford as to why this is happening.

having had Broncos before this I can tell you this is not an improvement. My windows do not go back up on their own.

Of course it’s an improvement. The windows no longer catch on the seals and wobble when you open a door. They will go back up after you open and close a door. If not something is wrong.

I never had an issue on any of my previous Bronco. Yes when I open and close my door the driver window goes up, the rest do not. Even when I put the vehicle in drive and drive down the road the other windows stay down.

wonder if my 2023 does that. I always just touch the door handle to open.

This appears to be a mid/late ‘23 change. If you hit unlock and leave them alone, all windows will go up on their own. Mine does as 8/11/23 blend date. Caught me off gaurd at first as my ‘21 did not do this, but it is a welcomed fix.

except when driving. They do not go back up on their own when I get in and drive. I have to roll them up with the switches.

Thanks, I've had mine just a couple of weeks and thought I'd read just about everything on here. Went and checked mine and yep, pretty cool, but since I have the passive unlock why would I want to break out the remote like it's 1999 again to unlock the doors?

@Ford Motor Company why not fix the passive and drop the window when it senses your hand, the way the window drops is really piss poor engineering!

Agree. It’s very strange they left out the passive lock most of us use exclusively. I guess I should of called it a partial fix lol.

Have the dealer check to see it they need adjusted. I dont know what the overhang is but its a couple mm. Sometimes my auto roll up or down stop its typically from hitting a bump. Also sometimes they need to be reset. Hold the button down till window is down hold 5 seconds. roll window up then hold for 5. that should reset the window.
My 2021 when i unlock nothing happens. when i pull the handle the window drops then i open the door. maybe if you're gripping and rippin the door quick the computer doesnt know whats going on.

I hold the door shut with my thumb until it drops. But, I agree, it would be nice to give us with passive lock to drop when our hands trip the sensor. My fob never comes out of my pocket. I did test though and it works. Locking it closed them for me.

I have an early ‘23. I would gladly accept this feature.

There is a window reset to get them to operate properly. It is for window indexing which is a good thing. I forget what he sequence is per window but it is not complicated. Pretty sure you lower the window while holding the window down and hold for two seconds. Then raise it while holding the switch for two seconds. Do this twice and they should reset. I am not sure this is the solution sequence but you can check it out on YouTube I think
