Hey everyone! Since receiving our Bronco, I’ve noticed a lot of wind noise on the passenger side. I figured, “it’s a convertible. Expect some wind noise.” But upon checking it out, I noticed that I can see and feel the top of both windows on the passenger side. I checked both windows on the driver side, and they are slightly higher (and I can’t see or feel the top of the window).

I’ve tried the reset, although I know it’s to resolve an issue when the window isn’t going down. I thought I’d still try that, but it didn’t work.

It’s almost like the glass needs to come up about 1/16-1/8 of an inch more. Also, the glass is level and doesn’t seem misaligned.

Has anyone had this problem? I’d hate to have to take it to the dealership, who is a three hour drive from me.

*Edit-I just figured it out. The seal on the passenger side sits higher than the seal on the driver side, causing there to be a slight gap between the window and seal. Now..how to fix it.

You can go to the dealer and compare yours to one on the lot. If they are different you can I use this as a reason for a warranty repair.

If only there were Broncos on the lot to compare to! 😆

But even like that, I know they are too low, because I can see the top of them. Also, they are lower than both windows on the driver side. 😕

I've got a similar issue. Yesterday was extremely windy in Central Ohio. As I was driving, I noticed the drivers-side window (I have a 2-door) had literally "blown out" of the track so there was a large gap between the frame and the window. If I stopped and opened and closed the door, it would reseat--but then whenever I accelerated to highway speed it would "pop out" again. I could also dislodge it from the track by pressing even slightly from the inside. As you discovered, it looked like the drivers-side window was not extending as far up as the passenger side. I did a reset and at some point it seemed to extend up a bit further so for now I'm just keeping an eye on it. I'll post any further developments.

I've had the wind blowing across the corn fields on 71 between Columbus and Cincy literally suck the window open on my two door multiple times! After adjusting the window alignment under the doors manually to pull them back in as much as possible it has happened once, and that was a very windy day. I just cracked the drivers and rolled the passenger down and up and it reseated.

We were driving down the hiway, cold and very windy day, and the driver's window (also a 2 door hardtop) blew in from the track and started flapping around until I lowered it a bit and raised it back into the track.

I did try doing the window limit reset trick by holding the window button down for 5 seconds after opened all teh way, and agian raising the window and holding the button for 5 secondas after all the way up.

I don't know if that will fix this for me, but doing that as a start, before bringing in for service.

VERY interesting that we are all talking about 2 door hardtop models though....

Same thing happened with mine. The reset trick worked for both windows, would not have known about it if not for the forum...

Yikes! I hope the issue doesn’t return for you! Mine isn’t coming out of the track; the top that it rolls into just isn’t sitting low enough. I’m thinking a rubber mallet may do the trick, but it’s a little scary doing that with such a new vehicle. 😆
