Do the frame rails need to be tied in for all setups that attach to bolt locations for the tow hooks? Or only certain setups?
my opinion is its a worth while improvement to reduce risk of major damage. But it all depends on how you use the vehicle. There’s a reason the ford winch mount uses additional supports on the frame and is not just face mounted to the tow hook mounts.

I have fixed a friends truck who ripped his off on his f150 on a heavy winch pull. The bronco uses a similar design.

I would to be safe.

Here is the thread. It is locked for reply but lots of good info here. Be forewarned though it is 35 pages long, lots of "crumple zone" talk. Towards the end is the stuff about reinforcing the mount plate. From about page 20 or so.

And I think I have landed on this bumper...full access to IC, no relocation for ACC, senor holes work. I will skip the bulk bar and relocate control unit.

Do you have active grille shutters in front of your IC?
The shutters are still there, yes. I can actually reach through and grab one.

Does Ford sell the winch setup that is identical to the Everglades one?

I bought the LoD's and then @Tricky Dick's. @Tricky Dick's are much beefier and designed specifically to reinforce the horns while winching. Planning on installing them this weekend and selling the LoD's.

I'm going to get roasted for this question but why don't people just use the Ford recommended one?
Just my opinion, but I don't like the look of Ford's solution, it costs too much, and only comes with a 10k rated winch.

The Ford one doesn't allow sensors to be used...otherwise I would have just gone with that.
Oh yeah, forgot about that point. Great job as usual, Ford.

The aluminum Rock Hard bumper seems to check off all your needs and looks really good as well.

One of the reasons I did not go with an Everglades as well. No front camera on it.

Painful to part with the $$$ but they have a great reputation and they build things fast...
