No waste. I saved money w/ th ST. hahahahaha
Look at it this way, IF you took care of your soft top you wouldn't need to buy a Bestop... Kind of sounds like waste to me. Like I said though, you do you. Want to trash you Ford soft top, go for it, I didn't pay for it.

I'm taking good care of my soft top. When it gets replaced with an Armadillo top, I'll sell the soft top which will still be in decent shape.

Yes, you also have salt pre-treating and existing salt build up on roads up in the north that keeps things from being as bad often at the onset of snow and cuts down on black ice formation.
Very true. I used to wait until the street sweepers went through and a few good washout rains in the spring before taking anything nice out on the road. I don't miss brushing snow off my truck in the morning and getting that salt residue all over my business attire

Down here, I've seen them spray salt prep maybe twice. Since they don't do it often, they're not familiar with the equipment and you wind up with giant piles of the salt in the road.

What was this thread about?

I've got to remind the dealer to not wash mine when I bring it in for an early oil change next week. (scratchy brushes on their hose-wands).
I've only got two and a-half coats of wax on mine 🤪, Carnauba all over with ceramic hybrid on the lower door and quarter panel areas.

Yep, hand washing and waxing is the best way to inspect and get to know your exterior (the Bronco's exterior!).

I hose mine off after a dusty or muddy trip. I'll hose it off more thoroughly once I'm going up to the snow in winter, thanks to road salt. Once in a blue moon the whole darned thing will get properly washed, maybe.

I try to do mine once or twice a month when it is not 118 degrees out... Definitely after dirty or snowy trips.
