My Bronco came with a super-clean engine cover. It’s even color-matched to the body!

Couple of wild guesses:I was reading a review of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and cannot help but wonder why the Bronco cannot get an engine compartment that appears better finished?

Look at all that fancy, unnecessary stuff! You kids and your blasted fancy new toys. I mean, 12 volts, negative ground and everything! You probably even have an oil filter on that space ship!Less is better, since 1965 lol.

The new Jeep also costs far more than the Bronco. The intended buyers are much more concerned with the esthetics than the intended buyers of Broncos.Yea, I expected as much. "Buy a Grand Cherokee..." (really?, and did you come up with that all on your own?), and like comments are fine. I'd never post anything if I worried about useless responses. Luckily, there are many awesome people here that actually are very helpful and more informed than myself. And no, I am not a mechanic. All good if you like to work on cars or do that for a living, I'd simply rather not.
Back on topic - Engineering and aesthetics are not mutually exclusive. I found the new Jeep to be particularly clean, hence the comparison pics. I would argue that properly routing and managing the various wires, lines and componentry into something that is aesthetically pleasing is a plus.
Tell me you never worked on a car without telling me you've never worked on a carI was reading a review of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and cannot help but wonder why the Bronco cannot get an engine compartment that appears better finished?
