So, I feel dumb because I have no idea what this is under the Bronco (see pic). It's protected by a piece of factory armor with heavy bars.

I'll probably feel dumb when I'm told, so feel free to rub it in ;)

You are correct, this is the sway bar disconnect. I don't see the T-case skid? It may be picture angle.

Ahh, now that I have a name, yeah it's the sway bar disconnect. I do feel dumb, but slightly less, because I've never had a vehicle with one before. Hah! I didn't process in my head that's what it could be given the location, but it makes sense to be there.

I totally disagree!!!! It is a “”Leaveright”” build by the Leaveright Corp of Michigan for Ford.
I was gonna say it might also be the thingamajigger or dohickie or the whiddyacallit, but you're right
