referring to the two posts above yours from the manual,
87 is 'minimum', 91+ is recommended
Yes…in my case, I do not need best usage of 400+ hp for daily commuting.

now if I am going wheeling or towing, putting my engine under load, of course…give her 93 and utilize the extra power.

“best overall performance” is 30+ extra hp which is the rough margins gained from 87 to 93. You feel it to when you put your foot on the throttle. But is “best overall performance” really your daily driving performance. To each their own, not for me.

mentally I feel better putting in 93. My car runs best on E0. And runs just fine (no knocking) on 87.

for those running 93 for performance and optimal engine health, better start considering E0, oil separators, intake/valve cleaning every 10k-15k, engine cleaners every 4K-5k, oil brands, oil filter brands, oil changes every 3,000-5,000, extra air filter exchanges. Your overall engine health is far beyond the difference of 87-93 ethanol gas.

I run premium, had to for years with my MBZ and found a station that sells it cheaper than regular across the street at the Chevron :)

Premium end of thread, I don’t understand why people would have turbo charged vehicles and not run premium makes zero sense. These are 50k plus vehicles, if you can’t handle a dollar more per gallon maybe find something else you can afford.
Man I'm over here mad that I paid mid 30's for my bronco out the door and you mean to tell me that these are 50k plus vehicles? Lol

93 and nothing less, it's a twin turbo engine. I also have the Ford performance tune, so squeezing everything I can out of it. Coming from Hemi and big V8's better fuel meant not only better performance but better gas mileage.

Cool story bro, but yeah lot of people with optioned broncos are in the 50’s, including all the people that paid adm which a lot of people did (I didn’t) so yes this is a 50k vehicle when optioned.

Idk. I run 85 (Colorado) and it's fine. The first 4-5k miles I ran 91 (highest you can usually get here) and it only gave me .3-.5 more mpg.

No, it says it operates on gas with a minimum octane of 87...
Ford Bronco What grade fuel to use ( normal, plus, premium ) IMG-20230610-WA0006

I run 87 for my wife's 3 mile drive to work 3 times a week and it still tows a 2,500 lbs trailer like it's not even there.

straight from the manual

Your vehicle operates on regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum pump (R+M)/2 octane rating of 87.

For best overall vehicle and engine performance, premium fuel with an octane rating of 91 or higher is recommended.

so, paraphrased as:

87 is 'minimum' requirement and 91+ is recommended

under 87, not covered by warranty

I save 93 for rental cars.

I also stop at Discount Tire and ask them to rotate the tires before I return to Hertz.

Daily driver Bronco gets 87.

I've been told contrary things. (and this is what, the 70th thread on this?) one says, you've got turbos, use premium. Ford mechanic says it's a waste of money.

I've been running mid range and getting over 21 mpg overall. 4 door, v6. Driving gently. Need to switch back to 87 and see what it does.
Ford mechanics? The same dudes that said 6 qts of oil was sufficient for my 3.0 after first oil change? Had to get the service manager to override the consensus of the mechanics present that day (not just the oil change flunky). I will stick with the manual.

''For best overall vehicle and engine performance, premium fuel with an octane rating of 91 or higher is recommended." Quoteed from the manual , with twin turbos use premium your turbos and engine will thank you down the road

It was actually a few bucks below $30k. (or would have been if I hadn't spent $295 in an actual color)

Premium will get you about 3-5% better MPG, not worth the additional buck a gallon.
