Makes sense!
I was going to do mine with the RC 9.0 because there were a couple around for pretty good deals. I finally decided I'd rather set mine up for a full size winch to make it easier/cheaper to replace in the future. They are very proud of those RC 9.0's, so I really didn't want to have to buy a new one. 😂
The rc 9.0 is just a warn M8000 with a cut drum and painted red. The replacement parts and support for the M8000 is abundant. Probably one of the most produced winches in the past 50 years. I was a bit worried about that at first but after reading and parts lists I realized it should be okay should it need parts.

Oh I didn't realize that. Yeah that definitely helps. I actually run an M8000 for my rear winch for that reason. Was going to run one in the front but ran into problems so I have a Tabor Warn made knockoff in the front. If I have to replace it it will get an M8.

Maybe it’s out there and I just can’t find it, but why hasn’t someone made a tubing kit to mount the OEM intercooler up high for a budget high mount intercooler? $900 is better than $1350 or $2000 but where is the $150 tubing extensions and custom mounts that allow for using the stock one?

I don't see any way it would be possible due to the size and configuration.

Yea, inlet/outlet ports are to the rear not down.
I agree. The oem is also much thicker. The wagner is literally using 100% of the available depth. It couldn’t be 1/16” thicker without issues.

@GreyZ I cannot thank you enough for the write up instructions on this, I used it religiously to throw it on the last two days. I too have plans to run a low profile winch/prerunner style front bumper and a high mount intercooler was a necessity. So much more room for activities. Do you have any updates as far a your winch setup goes? Pic of pre and post bumper install.

I think I had posted updates in my winch thread, but no new updates in many months. I have used it many times and it works great. Zero issues and it has given me the confidence to hit trails that I had no business on without a winch. Especially down in the south where everyone else seems to be on 37-40s there are a few times that a great trail was being gate kept by super deep ruts that I just had to winch and belly slide on the skid plates. I still believe that my winch option is the best looking option out there as far as being a completely OEM look with no impact to approach angle/ 360 camera/ and line access in deep stuff.
