If they made a longer 2-door that looked like a modernized Gen 2 ('78-'79) I'd buy one. I loved my '79.
Make a Super Bronco and put it on a shortened F450 chassis to give it a great turning radius, 7.3L V8 and a Diesel option!

I can understand that but it literally defeats the purpose for me.... I want the short wheel base. If I wanted the long wheel base (lots of reasons someone would) then just buy the four door.... It has the long wheel base and better access.
Exactly. What you said.

I don't think I'd want it on a four door platform, but I do think the 6G 2 door would look a bit better if it had just a little bit more junk in the trunk behind the rear wheel well like the 65 below. The 6Gs have rear bumper right behind the rear tire. I like the look of a little body there before the rear bumper starts.

Curious how many would buy the two door if it was on the LWB four door platform?

I would in a heart beat.
Not me. I bought mine knowing I had the SWB and also was a few hundred pounds lighter which mattered to me when flat towing...

Main reason I bought the 2-door is how small and cramped the 4-door is from the driver's perspective. Especially with the short doors and the B-pillar jabbing you in the shoulder.

Would love to have another 6-8 inches of wheelbase, commensurate cargo space behind the rear seats, and larger gas tank.

The Ford produced Defender, which had a lot of features adapted into the

Bronco, also had it (110 inch WB) . I found it incredibly useful. Since it was also modular it could be turned into a pickup type vehicle quickly.

When I started thinking about a Bronco I didn't think about a four door or long base, I wanted a bronco like I had in 1982 two door manual transmission. I just wanted what I had to do the things I did before; to be able to drive the old trails and roads cross shallow streams, climb some hills. b igger is not always better. But everyone has an opinion and a set of wants, so get what fits your needs and wants

Every guy wants a few more inches  but seriously I'd buy a 2dr that was stretched a few more inches. I'd like to have a little more cargo space.

I thought that same thing the entire time I had my 2 dr Bronco. I wish it was on the longer wheel base with more cargo area and still just the 2 larger doors.
The smaller front doors on the 4 door were somewhat of a deal beaker for me, which was one of the main reasons I bought the 2 door version, it just always seemed way too short.

My favorite Jeep of all time was the original Unlimited 2dr.

Would be happy with a couple more inches, but not a 2 doors school bus.

I'd take about 6-8" of extra cargo space in the rear. Could turn my cooler sideways and have a slide for it AND keep the rear seats in. Haven't found a horizontal cooler slide yet. Other than that, the 2D is perfect IMO.
