  1. More Sound deadening for wind noise

Be sure to get one of the newer, feminized, Defenders if you do. The older and more off road capable versions were every bit as noisy as the Bronco.
  2. Naming My Bronco

My folks raised them in the 1960's. I've outlived 4 so far, and 10 years is about it. Without a doubt the best breed.
  3. Naming My Bronco

Nice Rottie too. Sure miss mine. They just don't live very long...
  4. Do you call your Bronco a car or truck?

An older gentleman driving a 90's vintage pickup walked up to my open window, yesterday in the parking lot, and said "Nice Truck!" So there is that unbiased vote.
  5. Gun / Firearm Racks & Storage [*** Storage Talk Only *** No Glorification, States, Laws, Permits, Politics or Usage Discussions]

Sure seems like we are being stuck into the Gulag for not being PC, but really a five year old thread acting as one size fits all? Regardless here is the cheap and easy way to carry a long gun which works as pictured or behind the front seats just as well. Most of us aren't going to be...
  6. Gun / Firearm Racks & Storage [*** Storage Talk Only *** No Glorification, States, Laws, Permits, Politics or Usage Discussions]

When I am settling into a new vehicle finding a good place to store my handgun is a priority. I am a retired LEO so carrying a weapon is second nature and being without one is a feeling of nakedness. That said, the Bronco presents some challenges. I have never been a fan of carrying a firearm...
  7. Factory holes in the muffler?

  8. Factory holes in the muffler?

While I was installing a trailer hitch on my '25 Badlands I noticed two, apparently factory, 1/8 inch holes in the bottom. Each is about 6 inches in from the outlet and inlet and at the gravity bottom of the muffler. There is some obvious carbon streaking as shown. All I can think of is...
  9. Is it the glass... or the windshield angle?

Definitely not the angle, I drove an aerodynamic brick (old style Defender) for many years with zero cracks or chips. My Bronco has 15K on it and no cracks or chips driven in rural Idaho. I just sold my 2004 F250 with 180K no cracks or chips on the original glass. I think driving style...
  10. Looking for 2025 trailer hitch module

That's what I was told by the dealer when they sold me the hitch kit. I haven't done it yet. it strikes me that the dealer's are in limbo on the hitch kit, and the '24 models' seem to be the problem with this particular kit. .
  11. Looking for 2025 trailer hitch module

Makes sense you can get one separately since the module is very clear about not dropping it! It is the most delicate part so Ford has to have a way to get replacements. But yes, the parts departments seem to be behind the curve on this kit. Maybe contact someone in Service?
  12. Looking for 2025 trailer hitch module

OK, I am with you now. Yes I bought the kit from Ford and the module was included with it. . Part # VS2DZ-15A416-C . So that module has to be available from Ford , via Lumen.
  13. Looking for 2025 trailer hitch module

Odd that I can't get this video pasted on this link. It is also posted on this site: https://www.youtube.com/@machmotorsport
  14. Looking for 2025 trailer hitch module

It is my understanding that the 2025 models are all pre wired. That was the case on my 25 Badlands that i just did an install on using this video: . You will still have to go to the dealer for a programming update.
  15. Gas mileage question

Do you note a significant increase in mileage with 91/93? Have you run your own comparisons or do you just run 91/93 by preference? I am used to the aerodynamic brick thing with my last serious 4x4 (Defender 110) so I know how t drive with that in mind. I do run 87 but only the good stuff...
  16. Motor Oil Shortages

Not showing too much impact currently in rural Idaho. Not sure where you are, but around here (McCall area) the shelves were mostly full at NAPA on Tuesday. I order my Motorcraft oil on line because no one carries it locally. The price has gone up but i just got 6 more quarts on Wednesday...
  17. Gas mileage question

Yesterday I did a 300 mile road trip in west central Idaho, including some city traffic in Boise. I dropped and gained about 3000 feet in elevation. Highway speed limits varied from 55 to 80. My 4 door 2.7 Badlands surprised me with 24.1 MPG combined. That is slightly better than my 2013 3.5...
  18. Question on Buying New 2025 Bronco with Higher Mileage

I bought my 2025 Badlands with 12K miles in March. Ford certified with full factory warranty for the remainder of the mileage. It appears to have been a special order vehicle judging by the options that came with it. Price was 15K under the MSRP from the original window sticker. Very happy so...
  19. AI Roast Your Bronco 🔥

Very good! Not quite at the Don Rickles level, but getting close.
